Good evening all 🌔
Just caught up on everyone's posts. Congrats on another super-busy time Mothernerd and on the fantastic news!!! 👶🏻 I never knew you were a Who fan! Me too. I have every DVD from the old and new series and am a bit of a nerd haha.
What started off as a down day turned into a not to bad day and cheered up by the time I got home. Forced myself out for a short walk so I could tick another successful day of hitting targets.
Today I am grateful for:
1) Lovely people at work that cheered me up
2) Having cooked up a batch of food at weekend so I could just roll in from work and eat
3) For film makers and all the hard work that goes into them (watched 'The Lion The Witch & The Wardrobe!')
Today = NSD number 9
Night all. Looking forward to a nice day off tomorrow x

That's great news @mothernerd! Something to look forward to & lots of baby cuddles too 😍
Work passed quite quickly, then a mad dash to town to get my 8 weekly haircut. Nipped into a couple of supermarkets, had £2 off coupon for one, so only spent 25p there, 25p off an item in another shop I wanted, reducing it by a third, then bought cat food, as the shelf was empty last week when I did my big shop. Watched a presentation with DS3 & discussed his course choices for next year, did bit of paperwork & now ready for a sleep.
Grateful for thermal socks & vest, getting my hair cut, an easy day at workUse it up, wear it out

Loved your 'pulled at the postbox' quip, apple_muncher! 😂
You are really getting through so much, mothernerd! Great to hear your sons and partners are helping you so much. Congratulations on your wonderful news, something lovely to look forward to.
Abundant1972, starting things but not finishing them - sure you're not a Gemini, lol?! 😂
NSD#3 today, I can't believe it! Was supposed to be taking my mum for a pub meal tonight but her friend rang to say more covid cases in the village so we stayed in and had chicken nuggets, chips and peas. Delicious and no extra cost! Also a small step to emptying freezer.
Last day working until Monday, hurray! My arm/hand are playing up a lot with either carpal tunnel or repetitive strain or both. Bit difficult when my job involves lots of identical things being made. Don't think I could physically manage more than 3 days now. I'm turning into a rickety old fart.
Big Birthday this year and already everyone is telling me how I should celebrate and where. Grrr. I'd like the UK coast, don't really want to fly yet and have already said I hate surprises just in case anyone gets any ideas. Humbug. Serves me right if no one comes to see me.
Gratitudes: that i'm off now till Monday, a nice raspberry and blackberry gin with Russian soda, my big fluffy dressing gown and my feet finally feeling warm (probably the gin)!
Night all x

Hi, I am not properly caught up, but hope every one is getting through January, I am kind too busy to think too much, but in a productive way. For the most part.
Only melt down was at coached swimming I did half of it, then I started crying : scared ds1 would have a seizure while I was swimming(he hasent have one since 'that one' in July), guilty for not being home, and just sad that he has not been offered any real physio or structured physical rehab for 4 weeks since he got home. ANd he loves swimming. So I got out half way through swim, did the shopping and went home. And all was fine. I'll get back on my horse later in the week, but am busy writing forms so he can get better funding. And in the meantime I am scrapping my creative writing bits. Back to my journal today, weight control and I also have 5 nsd days in January so far.
Grateful for ds1 making dinner (with ot) yesterday.

Oh ditty! Great big hugs to you. That is the stress showing. You need to take care of you right now. Be careful of trying to control too much. In case it helps, DH needed physio during lockdown - Nov 2020 - and it just did not happen, he went onto yoo toob and found 'physio for XX' and ignored all the bonkers ones, found a sensible one and bought resistance bands. Little and often. He is getting his 1st face to face appointment next week but he has managed to get back over 80% of his movement and lots more strength.Today I am going to practise keeping my big mouth shut. I must remain 'in character'. I will be serene. I am TeflonMan, or Batfink.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Congrats Mothernerd and not long and you'll be in the Granny club, hours of fun, giggles and amazement.Ditty hugs son should be getting physio that's upsetting enough for you. I would second f0xholes suggestion and look online for some exercises for him. Try not to worry too much.Well yesterday I had a day off, sunshine and 2 walks. Coffee and a danish pastry ended by NSD's hopes. Made by skin clear up and got some stress pushed away. Spent afternoon assembling new lamp for my lounge, love it can actually see now, so bright but still cosy. I am a cushions, throws overload person especially in cold evenings. Thanks @Calling14 and @f0xh0les am busy watching wallee after a lovely risotto w frilled vegetables. All is good, I just hit a right soft spot on Tuesday, as am walking a thin line. I am managing to work full time - working in town - commuting on bike helps massively in terms of time and exercise. And I am keeping my NSD day today as well.
@f0xh0les amazing what your husband managed. ds1 need the 121 and instruction to keep motivation etc up. He won't really let me help!
