there has only been one drama this month, and I sat and listened and then changed the subject! The drama is not over, but I think the drama queen now realises that I am not that interested.
Always set budgets and give yourself some guilt-free treat money.
I bought myself a coat to replace one that I ripped on a rose bush in my garden and a sweatshirt to replace one I ruined with lily pollen. I’ve had the coat for about 5 years and had been thinking about replacing it anyway. Other than that, I have bought some gym wear. As I do project 333, my choice of clothes is limited so if one thing needs replacing, I replace it quickly. Unfortunately the coat from America arrived today and despite it being the same size as the one I am replacing, it doesn’t fit. My friend is going to buy it off of me, so not wasted.
No purchases online (other than the coat from America as they don’t have a UK website) so the things I have bought have been mindful purchases that I didn’t just buy to try with view to sending back.
Never stop loving yourself. You are unique and uniquely gifted. NSDs = 16 please.
there were defo lots of expensive things I wanted in January, but I never gave in, I just wrote them all on a list 😂. I have been more thoughtful on the days I had planned spend days to make sure that I knew what I needed and also, what I might need on days I had planned NSDs. I made it to 16/16 🌟
I have tracked everything I have spent this month, and the Emma app gives a month by month comparison. December and January are probably not good months to compare because of Christmas, and also because I went shopping in New York in December so I will carry on tracking on ‘normal’ months to really understand how much I spend and what I spend on.
Use it up or pass it on.
9 items sold on Vinted this month and one designer bag on a fb page. The earnings from all of those items went straight onto my credit card.
3 more bags have been listed and 2 others given to two of my nieces, so 5 bags potentially leaving or already left the house.
I haven’t bought any toiletries and I have not made a dent in the BBW mountain so I’ll be using that stuff for a long while yet.
Set targets both small and large.
I’ve closed the rings on my watch 24 times this month, the days I didn’t were either because I was poorly, or because I was still working at 11pm, and didn’t really leave my desk. I will aim for 28 times in February.
Thank you for January's challenge, I have ended the month with money left over, so it has been a huge success in my book. NSDs reached 16, Left over money swept to savings account. Credit card bill paid. Tomorrow is another month. New and Shiny and full of possibilities. See you on the other side.

Thank you everyone for coming along for the ride in January. The posters, the drop-in-every-so-often-ers, the read-along-ers, the lycra-clad-cheerleaders. We are so lucky to be part of this gang together.
Thank you for this month's thread @apple_muncher. It's so good for all us like minded people to be together for support & celebrating 😍 Glad you're having an easier day @mothernerd. @lcc86 I think our hubby"s are twins! NSD#18 Quite pleased with how this month has gone. Despite catching the dreaded virus, my symptoms were mild & I got lots of things sorted that I wouldn't have otherwise! All budgets underspent, have just transferred a sum over to a new 1 year fixed savings account. Had a good day at work today, went for a walk with a friend after. Did some sewing at night & just got 2 chapters of a book I'm really enjoying, left to read.
So very grateful to one friend donating £20 to my fundraising & another gave £100!!! The second friend also said that if I was one of the Mr Men,etc, I'd be Little Miss Sunshine 😃 A walk with a work friend & seeing new ornaments in the fairy garden
See you all in February! X

After a bit of a non-starter yesterday - one of those days where I just couldn't get going despite lots of self-talk... I barely left the couch - proper duvet day. Today I made up for it with the gym - walked twice my target steps and am going to be doing a double dose of mindfulness tonight. Also bagged me a date (thanks for the cheerleading Thrifty) for a week on Monday! Whoop!!! We have already had a virtual one - isn't technology wonderful haha.
I feel January has been a really positive month with lots of progress on the habit front. Today's weigh in showed me having lost just over 2.5lbs too. So I am going to try and ramp that up a little for February - and really try to stay on track with it all.
Today I am grateful for: 1) Finding the motivation to get going again 2) My walk in the park which is always lovely 3) A long chat to my new date with a few giggles
Today = NSD number 23
I'm going to do a little release ceremony tonight to let go of all my regrets, past hurts and anything holding me back from living my best life. Tomorrow is a new month (and a New 🌑 Moon!) so very auspicious for new beginnings. Thank you so much Apple for running this month's challenge, and for helping us all move forward into next month 🤗

Thank you for the challenge apple. To echo ditty this is not the month I planned. However I'm still standing. Lots of changes, lots of new things to consider, life is going to be different.
No idea how much I've spent but most can be reclaimed from mum's estate.
Still lots to do but tomorrow will be another slow steady day, weeding out paperwork, moving scraps of information to permanent homes and discarding that which is no longer needed. Niece and her bf are coming on Wednesday and Thursday to help sort (and hopefully move stuff out).
There has been food waste - mainly things bought for mum (so glad one of the last things she ate was half of the whole melon I had bought for her) but also found that sometimes I've defrosted something and then just couldn't eat it. A few out of date items were binned and a weekly clear out of both fridges (some still in good condition despite November bb dates).
Lots of things have left the bungalow. More still to go but some (physical stuff) have homes waiting and should be done by the end of February (hopefully before). Paperwork will be ongoing but hoping once I set things in train life will take on a gentler pace and I can allow myself more space.
Grateful for this challenge, CBT and my lovely mum.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

Idee2111 - What an incredible story. Hope you and your family have a lovely holiday together. Thrifty - Hope the bear is so cute. Bright colours to cheer you up in January. What a great way to raise funds for your local charity.
Apple - Thank you for running January for us all.
With the team spirit on here I've been spurred on to achieve 5 NSD, which is the most I've ever managed.
My monthly spend was cut by £264.09 (don't forget the 9p, lol) although this may not be a completely true figure compared against that of crazily expensive December. Will see how it goes in Feb. I have, however, paid for 2 advance presents that would have been due in April.
Use it up pass it on has involved supplementing meals with food bought for Christmas visits that didn't happen. Gradually working through cupboards and freezer.
Gratitudes: the amount I've cut down this month, a lovely sunny day even though I was at work, a funny video of my toddler nephew running round with a bare bum, one sock and pushing a toy shopping trolley. What a sight!
Great fun taking part in January with you all. See you all in February Fives! X
