Mothernerd - So glad your mum's funeral went well yesterday after all the thought you put into making it special.
Abundant - Here's to your eloping into the sunset in the near future with a hunky guy, with or without your marmalade stockpile! At least you wouldn't starve!
Deni - May be I'll stick to marmalade (not literally) and be grateful!
Still testing every day to check for covid after my friend caught it. Clear so far thank goodness.
Been paid today so need to tally up my figures and see how I've done for January. At the moment it looks like I may have saved about £200 towards my car MOT and any repair, woohoo!
Gratitudes: Savings towards my MOT, a lovely walk in the sunshine and a beautiful blue sky. X8 -

My payday is weird, used to be 25th, last job it was 22nd and this new job it's the 15th! I just put it aside until the end of the month and pretend it's not there.
NSD today, bought food to work and caught the off peak train so should be about half the price of yesterday's fare. First time in my office, a few colleagues were there and they were definitely up for a laugh so I feel a bit more settled in.
Made some quesadillas for dinner with my simplycook stash, now time to relax. Got all my chores done this morning so nothing to worry about tonight!8 -
Today I am grateful for a good parents/option evening (lovely to actually see the parents after 2x online ones in y7+8), for dc taking up the offer of another hour of sleep and going in to school late, for my colleague at work and good chats, for daylight, for dh making a scrummy sausage casserole for us dinner.

Finally, a work day that went well/was stress free!
Had dental appointment before work. I know the dentist quite well, she's also been to a couple of the sewing classes I taught. Well she asked how I was & I just spilled my guts about all the ill health we've gone through the past year (renal failure, lock jaw, hiatus hernia & covid), nearly got emotional, think it's PMT!
Did a sewing job after tea & listed a couple more things on eboy.
Grateful for a good day at work, another NST (#15), tvUse it up, wear it out

Morning, Friday is my half day and I am celebrating by staying in bed, although I have to go shopping before I go into work. Have looked at finance this morning, I badly need to have a chat with v1rgin as my old broadband deal is running out, and I am loosing my council tax discount due to ds1 moving back in, and making too much for a carers grant, and there is no discount for ilness/disability in my area if there is a working person in the household and I am still not making enough to buy stakes every Friday and I still have ds1 at uni as well, who needs the odd top up. So I am going to call the council and have a chat. My income is not low as such, but as most single income households it's just not lush. Well that was my rant.
Apart from that I'm feeling pretty snug - grateful for ds1 having a nice day with his dad yesterday, for a lovely chat and rugby match pictures of ds2 and for investing in sunflower seeds yesterday when I got paid. I have bought 2 different types of giant sunflowers. I also want to start growing different grasses, different colours and heights - but not sure if I should start with plants or seeds, or probably both.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%
