I am new to the thread, I am not sure what is going on with your husband but that sounds a wee tad scary.

Good evening 🌔
Funny old day. Got my chores done, and went shopping for Dad and myself at same time. Thanks Dad for all those bonus N*ctar Points haha! Went to see Mum and got myself upset again, though she was happy in herself. Gave myself a talking to, and back home. Got my steps in (just) and will do my mindfulness in a sec. No gym today.
Esmerelda - I found the new Richmond veggie sausages taste really good!!!
F0xh0les - well done on the clear-out. I had one today too, and got a nice empty boot again in my car
Thrifty - Hugs. Make the most of the isolation before you have to return to the World again
Today I am grateful for:
1) Everyone looking after Mum
2) All the bargains I found today
3) The sunshine and crisp cold weather
Today = spend day. Still on NSD number 11
Night for now x

Abundant, if your mum is happy in herself, then that is a very very very good thing. She knows you love her and I bet she enjoys your company a lot. Take care x

Thrifty, it is totally possible for DH to avoid it, keep positive (no pun intended) and keep on tidying.Abundant - just hugs - you are amazing.Esmerelda - Richmonds veggie sausages are the best p0rk style, and Frys are good beef style. 'Beyond' is pricey but very good and if you can find it ys, then it is worth it -both the burgers and the sausage.Frys strips for cooking are pretty good too, and not expensive either, but the 'beef' style just taste like sliced burgers.Today DS1 is going back to Uni, so I am going to miss seeing his face (strictly after lunchtime
) until Easter hols anyway. He has worked out his weekly maximum budget based on his loan - love that boy!!
Going to bake, take him food shopping, and shove him on a coach. Then feel sorry for myself at losing him, pull myself together, launder his bedding, and get ready for my first working week (just the one!) of the year.Lists written, menu planned, budget rejigged and manipulated. - £70 out on kids bus fares and petrol, before I even earn anything.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

hi turtles
think i'm a rarity in that i like the plain Linda Mc veggie sausages but i'll try those richmond ones too.
I've portioned up soup in the swedish emporium freezer bags for DD2 and heading off down the motorway soon to meet DDs and then carry on southwards with DD2 to her uni flat. Food budget has about £35 left for this month! Has included some supplies for DD2. I will be sad to leave her behind & understand exactly how you feel f0xh0les - this is her 4th year of uni and it doesn't get easier
love and hugs to all turtles

Good afternoon ⛅
Thanks Apple and F0xh0les - you're a great support (as is everyone on here for each other!) You are right of course. She's just like a little kid again now - so have to try and keep that in mind.
Spendy day yesterday, but have £13.37 pending in cashback which I will add to my running total when it clears (currently at £1.02 for the rest of the month haha!). Also have N*ctar points - after buying the stuff with extra points - they have gone up to £10.24 - WHOOP!
Q) Does anyone else collect N*ctar points? If so, do you use them on shopping or cash them in on other stuff to get extra value (similarly with T*sco points)... just curious...
Q) If I did say £10 shop and redeemed all my points (so effectively free) - is that counted as a NSD?
Q) If I just buy fuel one day, is that a spend day or counted as essential (and thus a NSD)? I forget now... bit rusty!
Today I am grateful for:
1) A VERY lazy morning playing games and then balancing budgets
2) 2 days off
3) All of the support and kindness on this thread x
Today = NSD number 11
Have a great day x

Abundant - I use any points I get, as soon as I can, as I do not trust them not to pull the loyalty schemes or change the T&Cs. I don't usually 2x or 3x up on partner offers as I noticed for things like the boat to Ireland, the prices are not the same if you click through their link - they are more expensive, so you could have boosted up to eleventy-billion points to use with Sten_Line via a Clobcard, but the price is twelvety-billion points more - so I just buy nice things with them, and lob them in my trolley and count them as freebies. Sometimes I play the 'how much can I get for free' game - you know, 20p spaghetti, 22p baked beans, ys items, and then hand the cashier 10p for all my huge pile of shopping - surprising how often you get a filthy look for it, but what can I say, rather in my bank account than theirs.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

So what did I get done, a fraction of the planned things, but I dod sleep in, I did clean the whole house and do all laundry, do a big shop and cook a nice dinner, that took all of yesterday. Today I went for a run and along walk wit a friend, and now I am exhausted.
Also done with a piece of health form filling for ds1 for the univ3rsal 'debit' people. Sad and hard work, but it is done and wil hopefully give results. We got a lot of help for that.
But here I am - I feel quite sad, maybe just tired, I miss my family and - well I just don't know. I think ds1 is going out with a friend, so I can pretty much stay in bed for the rest of the day, which is fine with me, I will do some typing i have to do, and would love to do some reading as well.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%
