Oh mothernerd, hugs. Is it in danger of becoming 'an event' to 'celebrate' your mum (honest, it is not a reason to get together every relation and his dog to have the party they have not felt justified to have for the last 2 years, at your expense?)I would be inclined to ask who was coming, and for a deposit on the buffet and hall hire for non close family. but not even sure I have the nerve to do that. Deposit in lieu of flowers ? No flowers, bring a bottle? That would be one to ask Bor1s for advice on.I have a late start today, all 3 kids sent off on the bus (two on the first one, one missed it) caught one leaving his lunch on the kitchen table, and sent one back upstairs to brush his teeth (dirty monkey) and one to find his door key.DH returns to face-to-face teaching today, and is very nervous. I will be at work. The poor house will not understand what is going on.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Managed a whole weekend of NSD's impossible to get 2 tired gkids out of house on Saturday. Little one had been swimming in morning. I managed a walk before they were dropped off. Then day of crafts, disco rave in my bedroom and Yoda's eye fallen out (lego) repair job.Sunday planned a day out but rain stopped play, dragged kids out in afternoon for a walk.Today so tired gave in to chocolate, must be my age and coping with little monsters. Dropped them off at teatime, then my house needed sorting out. Bought some nice strawberries, raspberries and blueberries as ate lots of rubbish over weekend.Small food spend, but owed my dd1 money for naughty pottery spend. oops.Sun is out, plan to go home, get changed and collect firestick then walk on the beach, in a different town.Watched all of Afterlife, the last episode of it compensated for some episodes I wasn't that impressed with. Still brilliant series.Just needed something bit more upbeat. Had a couple of reasons to feel very sad last night, didn't have time to think over weekend, with kids.Cross as well that ex boyfriend thought he could just pop over for a coffee, glad I had kids as an excuse. GRRRGrateful forSunshine,Naughty chocolate boostSkin looking so much betterGot asked if I would like a coffee by a random guy at lunchtime - boosted my confidence. No idea what he looked like with a mask on hahaLBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/227

Good evening 🌕
Thanks for all the ideas of what to do with points! I loved the buy as much as you can for free and get a filthy look at checkout haha. I think I've been there and done that once before too lol. Loving them being named 'clobcard' points! Is there an unwritten forum rule that we cannot say the actual names of supermarkets? Will I go up in smoke or be placed on the naughty step for saying things like... TESCO💥SAINSBURYS💥ASDA 💥WAITROSE 🤣 I remember getting in trouble for mentioning the 'C' word 🎄 pre December. 'Sproutmas' is a good alternative lol.
Today I am grateful for:
1) Groovy tunes on the radio driving home from the gym
2) My long walk in the park and seeing ducks, geese and squirrels
3) Coming home to my snug little apartment as always
Today = NSD number 13
Have a lovely evening - Full Moon tonight so I'll be doing some pondering and navel gazing haha 🧘🏻♂️🌕

Today I am grateful for a beautiful full moon, for a good day of teaching, for dc surviving a rather carp day, for dh getting tea prepared, for my elbow not being nearly as swollen and bruised as I expected (thank you, arnica!).

Evening turtles 🐢
@abundant1972 your posts always make me laugh, off to the naughty step for naming the supermarkets you go! (I actually have no idea what the rule is, I just write them normally lol).
NSD today, first day at the new job, travelled "up town" to get my laptop from the main office then headed home. More or less a day of just getting to grips with policies etc. I actually have a few more managerial responsibilities than I'd realised which I'm happy with as it will look good for the cv (am only on fixed term contract, who knows what will happen!).
Not much else to report today, glad I didn't miss the train, played my brain training games and did a little meditation on the train, and have had a nice bath already. Good end to the day!9 -
Thankful for the amazing wolf moon tonight, cakes at work today (someone's birthday), skipping out of the office before 3pm, ticking jobs off, sourdough toast.I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £207

I understand that the reason for not naming the places was because some of them look to see how they are being mentioned on the Internet. So a cover-up to keep the comments from being found. Of course, if you were saying really nasty things you might want to hide it, but most on this forum don't do that. But even I (who live in America) have figured out what the markets are - just from visiting there. I remember visiting a Sainsbury in London and wandering about in awe. I never knew there were that many varieties of beans and potatoes. And I loved buying our evening meal at the deli counter before going back to our hotel. I have figured out that Aldi's (which we now have here) and Lidl's are among the least expensive and Waitrose and Marks and Spencer's Food Stores among the most expensive - except for YS stuff. When I visited with my parents back in 2005, they loved looking for the YS stuff for our dinners. I had worked out a budget for the trip, and we were able to stay way under it by careful shopping - that, and my parents actually preferred shopping at the charity shops and department stores rather than going sightseeing at castles and tourist sites. They even wanted to use the buses and trains rather than taxis. They had a great trip and still came home with half the money we had started with. I enjoyed showing them how I had traveled on my trips made on my own and with tour groups and individuals looking for their ancestral homes (I did genealogy tours).10

Get well soon & rest easy for all those with sore bits or under the weather. Hugs to Mothernerd too.
Feeling tired today. Took hubby to his dialysis (we're both masked & car windows down) as he's not allowed to go in a taxi to his appointments until my isolation is over. Came home & shut myself back in the bedroom. Sorted through 2 drawers of clothes & did a bit of my jigsaw, then went to fetch him again. Finished my jigsaw this afternoon, had a nice phonecall with next door neighbour. Planning an early night.
Grateful for baked chicken tacos for tea, sold a book on eboy, & a bed free from the piles I plonked on it earlier, so I can sleep peacefully!Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Evening fellow turtles.
I had a bit of good news, a modest pay rise from this pay packet coming. And we are having an away day in York, and I said to my boss I will go the day before to have a chance to be in the city and use the hotel facilities - he booked the room for me. Very very kind.
NSD today.
