Good luck, sammy_kaye18 - there are a lot of free patterns out there but it's finding one that's suitable.
There's this one if you haven't come across it https://www.lovecrafts.com/en-gb/c/article/teddy-bear-sewing-pattern - it uses fabric rather than fake fur (I made teddies using fake fur 4 years ago - I'm still finding clumps of it!), but would probably be fine for short fur if you wanted.
I'm presently making a rag doll for my niece - she wanted a 'rainbow' one for her birthday2024 Fashion on the Ration - 10/66 coupons used

I finally decided I have to set time aside each week for a "fun" activity. In the last week we made 3 prototype bow ties (well one is finished and two will need finishing in to hair bows) for our wedding next year. We did buy some pillowcases to make the pattern material go further but the printed material (for both prototypes and the final design) is all from my existing fat quarter collection!4

I am already doing a cross stitch for her and she gets a teddy bear every year without fail so Im hoping my sewing skills will still be up to scratch!
Awww Id love to see pictures of your ragdoll
@cup@Cupcakecraftscuddlycanine good luck with your bow ties. Im sure they will look fab!
I spent most of yesterday reclaiming the house now the kids are back in school / college so today I am finding that I am a bit bored with nothing to do so I think I will be getting a bit of crafting done after I have had lunch.Time to find me again6 -
Hi, I'm so happy to be sitting on a proper seat - it's much warmer.
I've finished my quilt and I'm sure it'll get lots of use this winter. Most of the fabrics were bought specially for this project although 2 of the florals were from my stash. The backing is a pink flannelette sheet I bought from a charity shop several years ago. It's a bit bobbly but nobody's going to see that. The weight of this sheet gives the quilt a heaviness that I like.I've posted a photo of it sitting beside one of the cushions I made last week. Next project is re upholstering a small storage stool. Hoping to get it finished next week.

Thanks Florenceem, this was about the 3rd attempt over 3 years 😳. I started with very complicated designs and didn't like them so plain old four block with sashing but I like itDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order

I've made 7 cards today, and part made another 6. Myself and small boy are recovering from upset stomachs, so I've been making cards whilst he alternated between TV and lego. Hubs sensibly stayed out of the way of the germbags! I managed to sew up the draught excluder this week too.
Now at 54/100
Hopefully small boy will be at school Monday, so I'll have my two non-working days to catch up on sewing! I've got a few half done projects to finish off- PJs, another draught excluder and a coat, plus a couple of blouses to make for me.

Hi everyone, still plodding away with my cardigan. Just 3" left to finish the back then it's the sewing up (which I hate) and knitting the button bands. Hopefully I'll get it finished this week.
On the sewing front I've still not started recovering the stool. I'm very good at procrastinating especially when it's something I'm not keen on doing 😂.My 12 year old grandson asked me to make 4 badges for him and his friends who have started a dragons and dungeons club. I've no idea what that is but he gave me a list of things to go on them. Clouds, a moon, a sickle, a dice and a 3d hexagon. So there I was Googling how to draw clouds etc etc. An artist I am not !!! I glued on the fabric shapes then edge stitched around them. The hexagon was a nightmare to do. It's not perfect but it'll have to do. I couldn't find plain boys T-shirts so bought small mens T-shirts from Primark (only £4) and just shortened them. I've attached a photo of one - I know dgs will be delighted with them.

@plumduff55 love the tshirt! Very clever as it does not look easy to do at all! My partner, 30 years old, also wears matching tshirts with his D and D people 🙄 but another of the group had them printed as I do not think Id be willing to make them 😂
thanks @sammy_kaye18 ☺ hope youve managed to get used to the quiet!4
