2022 - No Craft Spending - I WILL bust my stash and make pretty things!!!!!

Funnily enough, the October fair has been cancelled. I need to send my bank details for a refund, so that is something at least. I've found a website called stall finder that has events listed on it, so I will just pick another fair for October somewhere else!
I have cut out a pdf pattern and put together. I'm not sure about it, so will definitely use some scrap material to make a toile and see how it actually goes. It doesn't include seam allowance in it, and all the pieces seem a tad on the small side, even having measured myself and double checked!! If it does work, I will have used more fabric up though (always a plus!).Make £2025 in 2025- £751.88/£2025

I have spent today talking to my best friend and she lovingly reminded me that there is 19 sundays left until christmas so I have a few projects that I want to give as gifts so I think from now on I will be using Sundays as my winter / christmas / crafting day to make sure I have them all done by the time I want to gift them!Time to find me again6

Good morning everyone, it's raining here this morning so a good reason to stay in and do some sewing and sorting. My new carpet arrived this week and I am just waiting for a delivery date for the settees so it's all go. I've arranged a charity uplift on Wednesday for the old settees and I have gathered lots of other stuff over the past months. My friend is coming on Monday to help me get some things down from the loft and put up the new curtains. They are beautiful but very heavy - I just hope they hang ok. I've sewn 4 cushions and will make the tie backs after the curtains are up so that I get the length right.emsi_b I did a fair 5 years ago and only sold one thing. I didn't even recoup the table cost so I never did one again.Florenceem I love your bucket hat. I've searched YouTube and found some tutorials so I will try making one for next summer.
Here is a photo of 2 of the cushions. The fabric is so thick that I broke 3 needles when sewing the piping. I had to go and buy upholstery needles. I also bought one ball of grey dk wool for my colour block cardigan. Luckily Hobbycraft had the same wool in stock.
Happy crafting xxDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

I love the cushions - such pretty material and I love the colour too. I wish I was that creative. I was given a sewing machine at christmas and I havent even switched it on yet as last time I used one was back in school and I think I am a bit rusty so I will try and make myself something at some point as I have plenty of material saved and stashed away to practice with. It will probably be household things or dog related!
Husband is working away the next few days so I dont know whether to use that time to focus on crafting since I seem to be very behind at the minute with it, or have a good clear out and declutter so that I free myself up form household jobs so I can focus on crafting once Im done. The kitchen cupboards for example need a good clear out and declutter.

After my morning filling a skip, I had a nap instead of an afternoon of sewing 🤣
Last week I made one card, nearly finished another, and painted two drawers on the chest of drawers I was supposed to have repainted before moving! It's getting there, although do need husband to find me the tool for chiselling off old glue so that I can repair the fallen off leg. I might count that in my total when it's done as I've been renovating them for quite a long time...!
I've mocked up a pattern for a dog poo bag holder that I saw online- one for holding all the oddments of bags rather than the nice rolls you can buy! I hope it works. Should use up some scraps either way. I'm still signed up for a Christmas fair, so I will knock a few up for that.
