I used a blouse bought from a jumble sale in the 1980s and a vintage gypsy skirt that I had loved to wear years ago to make myself a bucket hat. Free pattern and tutorial on YT.

Thanks, craftingmad, for the info re seed paper. I didn’t know it was a thing. Nor did I know about biodegradable display bags. Wow, that’s some spend! But it’s a sensible expense when it’s for your business. Will it take up much room?

plumduff55 said:Hi, just had to post a picture of the dog walkers bag I made yesterday. I'm so pleased with it 😃. The fabric was all from my stash which my sister in law will love as she loves 🐝. I'm going to make a denim one for myself without the bit for poo bags. I'm going to North Berwick today and will be visiting a craft shop there. No point saying I won't buy anything as I might possibly be tempted 🤪

Currently cross stitching my way through a pack I brought last year. A few more bits to finish on the winter fun and then I am 3/6 done.
That will be some of my Christmas cards sorted and I have a few small other cross stitches to do.
I am thinking I may try and find empty baubles so that when they are done as cards they can be turned into ornaments by the receivers so then are mini gifts in themselves.
Still poorly here with this summer cold / hay fever / bug that wont shift. I have done minimal housework this morning and it has exhausted me already. I think my DD is better from it now as she wants to go out and play with a friend later, but I think DH may be coming down with it!
Planning ahead - I brought a ROUND KNITTING LOOM SET from Hobbycraft with a Christmas voucher and some yarn so I will be trying that next to see if I can make some Christmas gifts - either hats, scarfs or knitted socks.
Also found some old santa sacks in my Narnia Cupboard clear out which I think would be lovely cushion covers and decorations come Christmas so may look to adapt them as well at some point.
Hope everyone else is well and enjoying the nice weather if you have it.

Katiehound said:oops- more spending yesterday- but mainly for my shoeboxes- wind up torches. hey, a few ink pads slipped in to the order. I really needed some silicone glue but seems those only available in store (Range)
Incidentally quite a few of my ink pads have had to be binned- not because they have dried out but because the foam has perished, well, they are getting on in age.
Today I totalled up what I had made whilst away, so, here's the list:48 cards- sold 3411 furry kennel coats-for overseas rescue- no idea which as I have already passed them on- Greece? Spain?3 teacloth shopping bags - all new & given to me- cream one lined with left over from bag below.

Well done everyone-you've been so productive! I've had a lot to catch up as I've been away for a while.
Had a rough couple of months-partners nan was in a hospice then passed, then we all caught Covid (started showing symptoms day after the funeral which made me feel awful about going! All though we tested negative on the day), then straight after we attended a wedding in the Caymans but I just felt knackered the whole time.
After the last two months I think I need another break 😂 I'm also feeling dramatic as I turn 30 this month 🤦♀️Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.023 -
