oops- more spending yesterday- but mainly for my shoeboxes- wind up torches. hey, a few ink pads slipped in to the order. I really needed some silicone glue but seems those only available in store (Range)
Incidentally quite a few of my ink pads have had to be binned- not because they have dried out but because the foam has perished, well, they are getting on in age.
Today I totalled up what I had made whilst away, so, here's the list:48 cards- sold 3411 furry kennel coats-for overseas rescue- no idea which as I have already passed them on- Greece? Spain?3 teacloth shopping bags - all new & given to me- cream one lined with left over from bag below.
1 large shopper- had the print for many many years, backing upcycled textured cotton curtain8 needle cases (shoeboxes)5 scrunchies (shoeboxes)15 crochet angels- 14 sold, 1 given away1/2 pair mitts ( so now 3 / 8 made)a heap of single sides for doggy duvets- pieced bone pattern fabric oddments2 treasure boxes- all the embellishments from the card making stashBeing polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

there's another deign which is easier because it's based on 2 granny squares whereas the one in my pictures is circular body & a granny square for the wings. I keep playing around trying to get a perfect circle!
Fiddliest bit probably is the metallic thread as it has a mind of it's own & rather springy
Here is the pattern for the blue edged angel:
http://www.heartmadeblessings.org/patterns/robbiesangel.asp
I used the head pattern & wings from it and then adapted the circular one from 'di camilla' on the left (The other photos are surplus to requirements but I can not edit!!)
Photos on No 4 show the parts- but no instructions- see below
iyhowto.org/crochet-angel-free-patterns/
I use standard DK for bodies & Starmist yarn for the contrast, If you are going to need several colours or several balls it may well be cheaper online even with the postage. Individual ball costs around £3 if you can find in a local shop. £1.87 from FabricGiant as they are sale price at present. They also have the plastic rings. I use 1" but smaller ones will work if you do 2 rows double crochet and then the picot row.
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Ah, but the angels don't have to be for Christmas- they can be for Christenings, new babies...... whatever you want, that's why they come in different colours. I sent a turquoise edged one to a friend last week- she was thrilled as she always talks about guardian angels.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Hi, I'm home from my quilting holiday feeling very motivated and raring to go 🤩
I learned how to do English paper piecing and can honestly say I don't think I'll be doing any more. Although I'm pleased with the Xmas wreath it was too pernickety for me. I had plenty practice free motion quilting and I'm extremely happy with the hexagonal table topper. This was my first attempt. I also learned how to sew obtuse angles on the binding - I had never done this before.
I didn't have time to quilt the bed runner as I spent too much time on the paper piecing. I also did some knitting which is just stocking stitch and very relaxing compared to all the Aran knitting I usually do.
I achieved a lot on my holiday but some aspects were a bit disappointing- I'll be looking for somewhere else to go next year.
Here's photos of my work sorry for the size - Happy crafting

I’ve added to the quilt. It’s going slow. But I’m pleased there has been progress.
I’ve got loads to do. But I’m feeling blessed this week.So far the plasterer had said he can patch repair for around £250. Vs god knows how much for a full re
plaster. He couldn’t even figure out how long a full knock back would take. I live in an old wonky house and he had no idea where he’d even start. He reckoned a week for two men and over 2k for labour. But also no idea of hidden messes under what we can see.My boiler stopped working. They’ve waived the excess of the insurance and serviced it as it was a 10 minute fix. I’m so pleased my week hasn’t been more expensive.259 / 250.£120.91 / £250. Budget spent.I love the epp that’s been shown and the quilting is lovely. I hope you’re all busy and happy in the sometimes sunshine. Xx

Hi,
One more item finished - a cross-stitch kit I bought umpteen years ago ( I think the shop closed down over 6 years ago!). Was a bit unimpressed as I had to buy skeins of all 3 colours to finish it, but 'tis done now.
Just got to decide what I want to do with it.
Now working on a boro bag UFO I found in my hoard - I had completely forgotten I'd actually started it2024 Fashion on the Ration - 10/66 coupons used

Good to hear about everyone's crafting and to see pics as well. Lovebthe quilting.
I was recently away meeting up for a craft weekend with friends and was surprisingly productive.
I made:
Anniversary card, wedding card, 3 x general 'best wishes' cards, 3 x specific female birthday cards, 3 x children's birthday cards, 8 x finished christmas cards, 3 x mostly finished Christmas cards (needs sparkles or sentiments added) and a decorated envelope planner for a present. Also added to my Christmas book I am making of all the lovely Christmas papers I have that I will never use because the designs are too large for cards or too pretty!
And got to be sociable, meet up with friends who I havent seen for 3 years due to COVID and be inspired by their makes.5
