Hi everyone
Looks like most of you are ticking along nicely with knitting, sewing, and card making. Well done to those that have achieved making something. Love the recent pictures that have been posted on this thread.
A little slow here for me as have been busy outside mostly with stuff for my hens, my elderly duck, and helping Mr Edwink build another log store. These things take time because it is scrap wood we are using, guess who is in charge of sorting the wood out! I don't mind because we are making useful things with wood that builders would have thrown out and we hate waste.
I have made a purchase which I did slightly um and arr about but after much thought, I decided why not. I noticed on eBay that someone was selling 50, yes 50, crocheted doilies that they said had been used for a recent wedding. Only £14 for all of them so I thought that was a really good price. We have always used one we have here that has 2 rows of beads around the edges which is ideal for covering something over to go in the fridge like half a tin of sweetcorn etc. I have a large stash of beads in different colours and sizes so I plan to add some beads to the ones I've just bought and keep some for our use, also when all are finished I will donate the others to our local hospice charity shop. So far I have only used my beads for jazzing up my dungarees so thought the doilies would make use of them too.
Happy crafting everyone.

Edwink, what a great idea! I too have some beads I haven't used... I will leave them for my son to use as a shaker for now rather than buying anything else!!!!
I have been slightly more productive this afternoon- a card made and 2 bits of clothes mended. As clothes tend to spend a long time in the mending pile, I am counting them!!

Morning all. It’s been madness here. Not stopped since I was off from work. Almost as if I’m doing three weeks in one to make up for it.I managed to start at 7 and finish at 10.30. Knackered and grumpy.I need a new job.The doilies sound a lovely idea. I love a god doily.246 / 250.£120.91 / £250.
I’ve traced a pattern for a dress making class. Not much but I’m proud I’ve managed it.Hope you’re all staying sane. Xxx

Hello all
Well I have started on my 4th card now so am ticking along with that slowly.
Managed to somehow rehome a bag of wool and knitting needles from my neighbour who was just going to bin them so thats something else too.
I am trying to work through crafts that are on my crafts desk before I buy anything else - my mother asked me how many crafts I had to do the other day and I said 5 - when realistically it is more like 5 on the desk, 3 cross stitches cards, a pumpkin/fall decoration to paint, a papermache house, a tray, 3 stockings, 2 cushions to make , crochet to attempt, sewing machine and material to go through, 3 colouring books and a few other small bits. But lets not tell her that......
But still - onwards we go!Time to find me again3 -
sammy_kaye18 - I am not going to count my wips - way too many!
I was given another repair job today - an apron from the SA that needs new ties.
I was also given a piece of white Broderie Anglaise fabric that will be useful.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

I have also brought new towels as we desperately needed some but now I have a stack of 6 old towels that Im trying my best to think what I can do with them (besides cleaning clothes) that will be of practical use and to save throwing them in the bin.
