plum duff - well done on the cardis and quilt blocks. It’s nice you’ve planned for your retreat.Cupcake - don’t feel disheartened. Small steps. Some of the things I count are tiny. I hammered in a picture hook and put a picture on. Small win.237 / 250.£120.91 / £250.

Well, I'm still knitting sock no 2, but am planning on repurposing MIL's slightly moth-eaten cashmere into a rag rug.
My hand is still aching from all the cutting! Colours are muted browns, blues and cream, just got to find the rag rug equipment which seems to have gone into hiding!2024 Fashion on the Ration - 10/66 coupons used

The chest of drawers is my son's, I've had to squirrel his clothes away all over the place so would be useful to have it back 😂
No more makes, but I have washed the fabric for a Blouse, and worked out what size to trace, so some small progress!Make £2025 in 2025- £751.88/£2025

Wow this thread is quiet this past week - you must all be out enjoying the sun.
Well done to everyone who has made a little dent in their stash.
I am declaring a further 10 makes since my last post taking my total up to 819/2022. Still a long way to go but at least I am heading in the right direction.
However unfortunately I have totally blown my crafting budget out of the water so I'm hoping I can be forgiven. My supplier of wooden shapes (which I use to make things for my Etsy shop - including my best seller) is stopping making several of the items I use a lot so I have had to stock up for a few years all in one go (they may also have had a sale on some items which I could not resist) so my spending now stands at ......£969.01 (whoops!!)Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.025 -
Craftingmad, completely forgiven as it's a business purchase- and if a few extras got added in... ah well! 😂
I have made one card this morning. Got creative and stamped a few branches for some little birds to sit on and thoroughly enjoyed it! Now at 22/100.Make £2025 in 2025- £751.88/£2025

DuranGirl, enjoy your craft room, but be aware that you STILL won’t have enough room! Stash expands to fill the space it’s in – and it’s started already for you with your Mum’s stash, lol. Stash just knows where there’s a home for it!
Katiehound, those silver patterns are indeed by Patons. One of mine is for a set of doll’s clothes, which I bought (proudly) when I was 8 or 9 way back c 1959! I also love the pattern for a matinee set, which includes ‘pilch’. Keep up the good work with the doggy duvets.
You’ve done really well making a dent in your stash, emsi_b. Your stall pics are great. A few years ago I made lots of “Beads of Courage” bags for children undergoing chemo treatment. There was a specific pattern for these, although they were just drawstring bags. They had to have 2 layers too. Maybe there’s a specific pattern for the messenger bags. I wanted to get back into stamping too. In December I bought a stamp platform – I’ve not used it yet! But I will! Sometime.
Good luck sorting through your clothes; it’s so hard to let go of any fabric, sammy_kaye18. Actually, for me, you could replace ‘fabric’ with any other random word. really.
Nimbo, if it’s craft related, it counts!
plumduff55, that waistcoat is your equivalent of my baby quilt! You have no idea how happy that makes me, lol! Good work getting more knitting done. I have a big button box too, which is really handy. Debbie Shore has some great patterns/ideas.
I think that Wee Titch will be very happy in school. I love her, pennib. She has bags of personality.
Thanks, craftingmad, for the info re seed paper. I didn’t know it was a thing. Nor did I know about biodegradable display bags. Wow, that’s some spend! But it’s a sensible expense when it’s for your business. Will it take up much room?
I’m happy to hear that the pooches are better, cupcakecraftscuddlycanine.

Rag rugs just call out for toes to be wiggled in them, Wraithlady - and a cashmere rag rug ….. aaah!
So what progress have I made?
· 7 more veggie bags (all in use)
· Started that crochet jumper at the weekend; just have sleeves to do and button placket.
· Son-in-laws birthday card + 3 more
· 12 Christmas cards
Next up
· finish the jumper
· more veggie bags
· replace faux leather collar on daughter-in-law’s favourite jacket – she’s been warned that it may not work, but it’s unwearable as it is anyway - nothing ventured, nothing gained
Happy crafty stashbusting.

Hi, just had to post a picture of the dog walkers bag I made yesterday. I'm so pleased with it 😃. The fabric was all from my stash which my sister in law will love as she loves 🐝. I'm going to make a denim one for myself without the bit for poo bags. I'm going to North Berwick today and will be visiting a craft shop there. No point saying I won't buy anything as I might possibly be tempted 🤪
Happy crafting

It is quiet here! I hope it’s because you are enjoying the sunshine (not been an awful lot f that up here).
Wow, plumduff55, no wonder you are pleased with your dog walker’s bag – it’s fab!
My time has been eaten up by something or other, so I’ve not done much since my last visit.
I finished the crochet jumper and I’ve started on fixing that collar/insert on DiL’s jacket. I’m taking my time with this. I’ve unpicked the offending part from the jacket ad used that to make a pattern for the replacement part. Now to figure out how to attach this so that no stitching shows on the outside.
That’s it; that’s all I’ve got.
Now I want to get the jacket finished, make those veggie bags, start another crochet jumper and get some cards done for July birthdays/ Christmas.
Night all!
