Hi, I hate when I lose my crafting mojo - I feel as if the days pass and I achieve nothing so I have spent this week getting myself back into gear 🤪

Can't  face restarting the waistcoat just now as it's going to mean a lot of ripping back so I'm leaving it for a month - or maybe even a year or two 🤣. I have knitted loads for the baby but feel like doing some small projects so I'm going to start my Christmas knitting for the grandchildren. I've taken wool from my stash to knit new baby a dk cardigan and an Aran collared jacket and hat.  I will also knit a matching Aran set for his 2 year old sister. That should keep me busy for a bit.

For my sewing I'm going to make a quilted throw. I bought the fabric about 3 years ago and cut all the squares last year then promptly forgot about it. It was going to be a double bed quilt but I think it would be nicer in my sitting room -  it's also smaller and a lot less work ( there's method in my madness). Today I altered 3 silky scarves, by sewing the short ends together - they are now affinity ??? scarves which I prefer wearing with tunics and sweaters.

Thats me off to bed now - happy crafting

I love the idea of the plantable hearts, crafting mad.   How do they work?   Is it a packet of seed?   Or do you literally plant the heart?

Its seed paper - so basically paper with seeds embedded into it. You plant the whole heart and it grows into wildflowers :)

I’m loving that you’re all still busy.

It’s nice to see people back and hope that motivation / inspiration strikes.

I’ve not done much. Mostly got sun burned.

    I’ve unpacked a massive box.

Finished painting two frames and rebuilt them. I’ve hopefully finished a third but it needs to dry and be rebuilt before I’ll count it.

One has been filled. The other I think I know what I’m putting in. But the wet frame sits between me and the picture.

I’ve also finished stitching a sashiko panel to put in the third frame. It just needs ironing.

    235 / 250.

    £120.91 / £250.

I've made another card, now at 21/100, and finally finished with decor for the retirement party (which was thursday). I now have loads of free time and brain space to plan what next! I would like to refurb the chest of drawers hiding in the garage (a leg fell off when we were moving). I've also got sewing plans too- I'd like to trace the Blouse pattern tonight, and get it cut out this weekend.

My mum mentioned her sewing group have been asked to make chemo bags so will give those a whirl. I've got lots of fabric!! Not quite worked out a pattern yet- I'm going to have a look through my pattern box and see if I have something I can use (they're supposed to be a double lined messenger style bag that doesn't look at all like they're from hospital).
