I do have a blanket upstairs though that my grandmother crocheted for me with squares like this that I absolutely adore and I think I will have to get it out in the winter to wrap myself in on the sofa!Time to find me again4 -

I've cut out two pairs of PJ shorts for my son. Should be quick to sew up one morning (far too warm in the spare room of an afternoon/evening!)
I've also got the fabric ready to cut out another top for me- haven't got around to traving a pattern, so thought I'd make another of one I already didMake £2025 in 2025- £751.88/£2025

Hi, I was babysitting at sons at the weekend and forgot to take my knitting with me. Really boring sitting watching kids playing video games and no knitting to do ! I did finish the baby Aran set last night so now looking for my next project. It won't be " the waistcoat" as still not in the mood for it. It will have to be something simple that I can take on holiday with me next week

Thanks Edwink and Florenceem, I've been searching my patterns and have decided to knit this colour block cardigan that I last knitted at least 15 years ago. I loved that cardigan and wore it till it was like an old rag. I'll post a picture of the pattern with the wool I'm thinking of using. All wool leftover from other projects so definitely a stash busting make 😄. Happy Crafting

I sewed up one pair of shorts and a camisole for me. I cut corners on the camisole to get it done before I got too hot, so I will need to hem it properly, rather than the lazy attempt at it I did make. It's very visible that the material is fraying 🤣🤦♀️ my alteration on the lining was fine though- it should be hemmed, but it's a bit annoying on the other, so just bound the edge and left it unhemmed and it's a lot more comfortable.
The shorts were a pretty good fit- might make the waistband elastic slightly longer to be less snug on the remaining pair, but young sir liked them so that's all that matters! Both used fabric I've had for ages, and there's loads left too 🤣

I've made some massive progress today!!!!
I made the scrapbook of mine and small boy's adventures, and started my honeymoon scrapbook!!! It's only 5 years on 🤣 I've got everything laid out, just need to finish sticking and journalling. I will still have the wedding one to do, but doing these has given me a big boost. It's also a great activity for hiding inside!!
Hope you all stay safe in the heat- a good excuse to stay in and craft.
