  • Has anyone moved from EDF yet since being SOLRd? Im looking at moving gas to BG as that’s where my electricity is now with, but thinking I should wait until the money has transferred from zog before jumping…

Yes, I was moved from Zog to EDF.  My electricity was also moved from Symbio to EON Next.  When EON Next (IMO) had a brilliant offer for electricity, I also liked their rates for Gas, so left EDF and moved to EON Next.

I was £60 in credit with ZOG, so not a massive amount.  My calculations are that this credit should cover my 4 weeks with EDF.

Finally got my account live though changing to DD was a palaver as online didnt work and chat wouldn't set it up... Anyway after the chat and ringing up to have it put to whole monthly, a bill has now generated with the cheque welcome prices.  I presume  the much vaunted review will kick in and refund the difference.

I have switched from EDF to Octopus and I am still waiting for my Final BIll. Zog’s Administrator will not be transferring any money to EDF. EDF will pay out any credit balances from its own funds before making a repayment claim under the Ofgem Consumer Levy. As Ofgem will be an unsecured creditor of Zog, I hope that it will include all credit balances in its claim. How much it gets paid will depend on the value of Zog’s assets and the amount paid out to secured creditors.

No bill yet but was about to set up DD  - (what is the cut off date for this to avoid increased charge for  paying or can we wait for a bill?)
Was about to set up DD it showed the 2 main options eg fixed month amount or variable pay on actual bill
but  when I started the process it only offered me fixed DD.
Can I set it up online and then change it  or  set up variable from start via which contact method?

And you need to set up a DD before 31 January to get the lower DD tariff

if you go on Chat after setting up the Fixed DD online and ask to be changed to the variable one you can also ask them to generate a bill at the same time
Can you please advise the unit rate for the direct debit. I had the same email saying any money owed would be credited so from the 04 December to now is a bonus. I'm still waiting for my £119 credit from zog to appear. Thanks in advance

The exact rates will depend on what region you are in but for South region the non DD rates were 4.39 kWh /  30.78p per day SC and for DD rates 4.168 kWh / 26.11p SC (all figures VAT included)

It hasn't happened yet, I think they're planning to do it as a bulk exercise for everyone who has set up a DD after the deadline has passed.

Just had a chat and there response is that  the cheque payment refund is only  for anyone that  had an active direct debit with the previous supplier and did not cancel it so that it remains active with us. Tried to explain that isnt what is being said by EDF but wouldn't have it

Well they will get a lot of complaints submitted if they try that one.....    Although as per usual you have to regard whatever any chat agent says with a high degree of skepticism.

well, considering that they don't seem to have taken over my Zog DD/credit as of today, that won't fly...
