Yes, understand.  TBH i normally wouldn't bother as its a low amount but considering all the mistakes EDF made, i felt obliged to query it and get it right, considering the small fortune they are making at present, turns out they will just refund me £3 so effectively 12 days for 70p standing charge.  Got to wait up to 3 days to get the money so will see if it appears.

I finally jumped ship today, moving across to Eon Next who I'm with for electricity as a refugee from Symbio. I'm not the sort of person to pay more than I need to for anything, but their NextOnline v15 just seemed too tempting if they would take on my gas supply, and they readily agreed. I managed to get the start put back to the date they begin supplying gas which they've told me will be July 20th. So that's about ten weeks or so on a higher than necessary tariff, but 10.8p for gas seems cheap now (who could have imagined that a year ago?!) and I figured I would be likely to save a lot more during the winter than I'll lose in August and September. Time will tell if I'm correct, but I've been happy with Eon Next since I was moved to them, whilst EDF seem to make life far more complicated than it needs to be, so now I'm just hoping for a smooth exit!

Quick question - do EDF actually send out meter reading reminders by email / sms? i've never had one from them, but all the contact settings look correct on their site.
as a test, i've now switched it to send me reminders by SMS, but i'm just wondering if other users are receiving meter reading reminders from EDF ?

Yes, I have had an email saying we need a meter reading & I also have seen similar when logged into website or via app. It's redundant for me though as I give monthly readings anyway.

thanks for confirming... i'm giving monthly readings too, but when I gave one on the 11th July, the site said that it wouldn't generate a bill yet and contact me when I need to give a meter reading... upon logging in today, it seems they now want one on the 12th or later... so submitted reading and it's now generated a bill of just over £10 (which is what it's been for the last 3 months as we're not using heating).
i'm receiving emails for new generated bills, just nothing when it comes to meter reading reminders.... I had the app installed and i've just enabled push notifications in it, so hopefully that will give me a nudge when the time comes next month.

    I think you'll find 1 out of 2 is a draw.

I wouldn’t call it anything until 6 years has passed.

Zog (and Green) can go whistle for the money owed, the useless agreement-breaking hounds.   Probably an unpopular opinion but I've put the money towards the extortionate new tariffs I've been forced onto.
You will be pursued through the Courts (if necessary) for the monies that you owe as the Administrators have a legal obligation to do so. There has been no breach of contract: I suggest that you have a read of the terms and conditions that you signed up to. Both suppliers have had their Supply Licences revoked by Ofgem.
Wrong.  I received 3 template letters from an agency re Green, and never heard another peep after that so looks like I indeed "got away with it".

Zog on the other hand, passed the outstanding debt on to the supplier of last resort.  I'm calling 1 out of 2 a win.
Green.energy in administration have proved to be far from competent - some customers are still chasing for their credits whilst some have received the credit amount twice !!
Outstanding debts will ,no doubt , be sold on by the administrators for less and less p in the £ - very much doubt if small amounts will "go thru the Courts" - the rottwielers  at the debt collecting agencies will just be as unpleasant as they can be.
