Same, they keep changing their minds. App and website have different details, I prefer the website.

There is definitely some strange behaviour from EDF.   I had a bill raised covering 15 Dec to 20 Jan the other day when I requested to change my DD to variable whole amount and asked for bill to be raised as well.  Now today they have raised another bill for a one whole day's worth for 21st Jan and taking that on another DD a day later than the other one.   Very odd...are they going to bill me daily from now on 😅

Phew! Sounds like things are normal at EDF. I was amazed at how smoothly it seemed to be going, at first.

When did you set up the DD mandate?

EDF require 2-3 weeks to set up a DD mandate, so if you only set it up earlier this month, then it may have been too late to collect the DD on the day of the month you specified.
EDF should have advised you of the date of the first collection, as well as confirming the date of the second and subsequent collections (which would be on the day of the month you specified)

Edit:
Comment above obviously applies to Budget (fixed) Direct Debit instruction.
If you opted for variable (pay on receipt of bill) direct debits, then obviously they cannot collect until after they have produced a bill (and provided you with the agreed advance notice of how much they will collect)

I'm beginning to run out of wells to oh.

No supplier can bill you and collect the money via DD the same day

What advance notice period did you agree with EDF when you set up the mandate?

As far as I can see, nothing much has changed with my EDF account since  before Xmas ,other than it now shows the first DD collected.; I gave them a meter read on 4th Jan. which is showing ,but no sign of a bill (and no expected date for one). No sign of the credit from Zog altho that statement was produced nearly 3 weeks ago.
