Shedman said:Just been on chat to get a bill issued and change DD to variable whole amount (got on to an agent within moments very surprisingly). Anyway she's arranged for bill to be produced (and DD method to be changed) but its only from 15 Dec to 20 Jan. Interestingly she said the following re the gap between 5th and 15th Dec.
"I can issue a bill for you, and I also change you to pay for the bill in full each month via Direct Debit - just let me know which you would like to be done. The bills Zog have issued at present are up to 05.12.2021 when they ceased trading I believe. There is a further bill that needs to be produced, for the period 06.12.2021 - 14.12.2021 when your account was still on Zog's systems, but we were your supplier. After that bill is issued, the balance will be transferred to your EDF Energy account"
So when I said it was a shame as hoped we'd get away with that period she said
"I'm afraid not, sorry! Usually, when a supplier ceases trading they don't send a final bill up to the date they stop, there is just a final bill up to the date the account transfers to the new supplier systems, so them doing that has caused so much confusion!"So I said that seemed strange and hadn't occurred in all the other (5) SOLRs I'd been through but she suggested that it was the way it had been done with the other recent SOLRs they had taken on. Not sure however whether this will mean we will get charged at Zog rate or EDF rate for 6-14 Dec (can't see Zog system changing the tariffs for that period though)0 -

Have just received an email from Zog asking for my balance of about a tenner. I'm quite happy to pay them, as their final accounts are accurate, but I don't want EDF charging me again for the same gas, as there's no agreed opening meter reading recorded on EDF, despite me submitting readings whenever requested.

Shedman said:movingon said:Hi, Has anyone been able to find opening and subsequent meter readings on their account page? If so, please could you direct me? I think I have brain freeze. I can only see the last meter reading. I want to be able to see it to ascertain that the last reading to Zog and first reading to EDF match. It worries me that we wont get a bill for 6 months and I might forget where I am up to.
ThanksUsed to get much better info from small companies like Yorkshire Energy and Neon Reef.I await the details of the bill they have created today covering 15 Dec - 20 Jan to see what the first reading is (and whether it accords with my records) but although I can currently see the bill total the detail doesn't seem available yet. However, I suspect from the chat conversation earlier that it won't be the same reading as the closing 4th Dec reading on Zog's final bill.Progress of a sort I guess.0 -
Very strange as the web portal has always shown the last read and date for both mine and my daughter's accounts.A weird thing is that my daughter is on standard variable and I am on welcome variable with an end date of 9999.I am also still showing the 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 counter at the top of the page, hers has gone.0

I got a very strange email last night to say that EDF couldn’t read my smart meter, and haven’t been able to do so since the 7th January. All very strange given that another DCC user - N3rgy.com - has been able to recover all my 30 minute usage data since EDF took over my supply. As my switch back to Octopus goes through next week, I really cannot be bothered to engage with them on the issue of my non- smart, meter meter.0
