Just got a couple of quotes from energy switch sites, cheapest is over 9p per kwh. Extra £40. per month. I can't afford that, unable to work due to disability. Currently going through a nightmare broadband switch, and still have to sort out Virgin mobile as they are stopping PAYG, never rains but it pours.0

My existing one for me SMETS2 elec, just goes to mas as soon as anything is on, it never used to but now its just sitting all the way over on the right in the red zone so now I just turn it off as its useless to me.
It shows W at the bottom (only have elec smart meter). For example, I had kitchen lights on (low power spot lights), i turned TV on and other than that just standard stuff like fridze/freezer etc and it said 221W and the needle is all the way over on the right. Previously, its always been on the left hand side in the green area, not even 1/4 of the way up but suddenly its changed.
I have switched supplier (Was SSE who supplied IHD & smart meter, now with ESB Energy) but I been with them since March and its only just started to do this last few weeks. I've left it off for a few days turned back on but the same, bit off.
Do you have to set a budget? I never set one before. I see the IHD has supplier correct & tariffs correct.
Thanks

Shame about Zog, excellent experience, I took a two year fix in June which as it turned out looking stupidly cheap (just under 3p per kWh). Couldn't fault them service wise, billing wise, anything wise really. What a breath of fresh air they were.In some ways the billing system is one thing I will miss. Feed them some readings at the end of the month and you got a bill 8-13 days later guaranteed that actually used said reading. You got your 49 day window notification on the first of those 49 days, none of this having to work it out yourself. And wonderfully, if you moved away to another provider, you got a final bill from Zog and a credit refund within days, none of this faffing around still outstanding chasing it up eight week nonsense.Bye Zog1

Mine had a very sensitive scale when I got it, but once I set a budget it recalibrated itself and only gets into the yellow when I put the kettle on, and into the red if I run the toaster tooI remember from this thread that yours is a Geo Trio like mine; if you push "home" then choose "settings", is the first option "budget"?N. Yes, that's right, I got it through SSE.
I'll have to check the IHD and see what options I have, I'll see if there is a manual.
I did try to go into some of the options but it didn't allow me but I'll have another go.
Worst case, my currently supplier has said they would ship me a IHD so I could try that or as i mentioned, might just move gas to smart meter and have convenience of both of them showing on a new IHD & then get a better idea of daily usage etc as atm, I look at it and think oh that's not too bad (forgetting it doesn't include the gas) lol. Parents have smart meters for both gas & elec so there one shows a figure for both each day so i keep thinking mine is way cheaper but clearly isn't
Thanks

Why 3? I am too, but I assume one of them will just be the administration rather than an solr as it's just a final bill.0

I'm PFP and zog, but also waiting on a bill from neon. What a shame for staff losing their jobs in December.0
