This is what it said on the last EDF update, 15/12.
Once your account is displaying this message 'Woohoo – we're now powering your home! Welcome to EDF,' you can set up your Direct Debit online or by contacting us
Please set up your Direct Debit on or before 31 January 2022 and you're guaranteed the cheaper rate that Direct Debit customers benefit from. If you set up your Direct Debit before 31 January 2022, we'll assess your account and credit you back any monies owed.
Still no switch confirmation for me.0 -

Advice please - as I have a problem. Yesterday, I checked the online database and saw that EDF were now my supplier, even though my EDF account was still not completely set up.
After Symbio went bust, I decided to lock my electricity with EON Next as it was a reasonable tariff. Same SC with a 2p increase in UP. Yes, it is a gamble and it will cost be just under £50 extra until April. If the increase is more than £50 in April, I will have won - otherwise I have lost.
Yesterday, I decided to move my gas over to EON Next. Same SC and 1.7p extra UP. This has resulted in around an extra £60 between now and April. Same gamble. But there are no exit fees if it fails.EON have already contacted EDF and so EDF are now refusing to take my bank details, as there is now a switch in progress. Can they do this? Otherwise, I am paying cash prices until I leave.0 -
So if I now switch to British Gas for my Gas (already with them for electricity, ex. Neon Reef) what tariff would I be on? Would it be worse than the one I'm on with EdF?EDIT: Just did an online quote and it looks like you can only switch into an exorbitant fixed tariff. It's quoting me £108 a month - I paid £39 to Zog. LOL! I'll stay with EdF.

My application for DD seems to have failed as I did not agree to a monthly amount, not that I remember getting an option to enter one. Will give it another go this afternoon.0

Not too much damage. Around 4p a day, so less than a couple of pounds.1 -
Could it be that EDF fully switches those first who have a smart meter that EDF can access? I have an unadopted Liberty which is presumably EDF incompatible.
I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".0 -

It says EDF will obtain my meter reading from my smart meter, however, my smart meter (which was installed by E-On in early 2014) has never reported readings since I switched from E-On in late 2014.Cashback earned
