I can now log in. I tried messaging them to ask about setting up a direct debit. Apparently it is taking them 7 hours to reply. Lol!! I've been chatting with British Gas over the past few days and have had excellent service and rapid replies. What's wrong with EdF?

This is going to be painful. I got a message half an hour ago asking me to confirm my email address. Then nothing. I wonder how soon I can switch to British Gas? Is their variable tariff any more expensive than what we ex Zoggites are on?

I don't think any suppliers are letting you switch to them on their SVT.gsmh said:This is going to be painful. I got a message half an hour ago asking me to confirm my email address. Then nothing. Obviously no use if EdF is your SoLR, but their website says you can join them on the SVT but only by phone.Umiamz said:

The advice from EDF has always been that you won't be able to set up a direct debit until your account is displaying the message 'Woohoo – we're now powering your home! Welcome to EDF', namely when the switch over from Zog has been completed.gsmh said:I can now log in. I tried messaging them to ask about setting up a direct debit. Has anyone had any communications from Zog/ their administrators ? Nothing appears to have changed on the beta web site. Still showing last bill to October 31st and meter read from 30th November.0

A friend of mine signed up to E.on Next expensive fixed rate no exit fees via my £50 refer a friend link, on switch date he changed to SVT after asking them following sign up if he could do that.

@brewerdave I had the same thought yesterday about Zog. I have tried to engage with the Administrator, but to say they are cagey and non-committal is an understatement. If anyone else fancies a go, it is a firm of Chartered Accountants called Ensors, in Ipswich. The Joint Administrators are called Mark Upton and David Scrivener.
I think we are running out of time to get anything sorted before the New Year. I don’t think EDF can do much more, until Zog sort out closing balances and migration. How inclined do Zog feel about doing that, in the circumstances?0 -
Why do you need to engage with the Administrators? The Final Bill will appear once meter readings have been agreed with EDF. Given that Zog was a well-run supplier, I cannot see this being an an issue. Ten years ago, you would have had to lodge a claim for any credit with the supplier as an unsecured creditor - with little chance of getting any money back. It has only been two weeks since EDF was appointed SoLR and the Receiver process probably started later in the same week.Deleted_User said:@brewerdave I had the same thought yesterday about Zog. Have a look at the excellent information that Octopus has provided to Avro customers to see how long this wind up process takes. There is a lot more to it than a simple switch.
Edit: Octopus was appointed SoLR on the 26th September. This is from the latest post:
Quote: UPDATE THURSDAY 2ND DECEMBERWe've been busy cracking on with final bills for Avro customers. They're now well underway, and we're on track to get the vast majority sent out over the next few weeks, though it's still a slow process as we have to be meticulous about reviewing Avro's data to make sure every bill's right. Note: the SoLR is ending out the Final Bills not the failed supplier.
