  • @Umiamz Yes, it suits me fine if EDF do not bill me until Jan 2022, and we have until 22/1 to set up a DD and still qualify for the related discount.

To a certain extent, EDF is dependent on Zog getting its act together regarding final accounts and closing readings. That in turn is dependent on the Administrator. Plus there is now the upcoming Christmas break - some companies are finishing today. Do we really think everyone will be rushing around sorting this out?

Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

Yes, quite. I think they've done rather well considering the timeframe involved.
  • As I'm dealing with 2 SoLRs at the same time, I have to keep checking that I'm posting to the right thread!

Indeed, I've been very surprised by the speed of this operation. It's a lot faster than most.

FWIW I thought GNE/EDF went smoothly too, although it did take 3-4 months.
I wonder whether participating in this thread/forum makes people less patient?

Bear in mind that gas switches always tend to be quicker than electricity. When I switched to Zog in August, the smart meter was tariff was updated by midday and I got my Final Bill from my old supplier the following day.  EDF updated the smart meter gas tariff on the 15th by mid afternoon but they are now saying it takes 10 days to get a smart meter reading which is odd to say the least.
