VAT!Patr100 said:EDF also seem to be charging me more than the Price Cap!
Their rate (cash cheque/monthly - including VAT)
Gas unit rate: 4.410p per kWh
Daily standing charge: 30.78p per day
But the online Price cap calculator (including VAT)
says the limit for my region should be:Standard Credit Price Cap Rates (Pay on Bill)Gas Rate (pence per kWh)4.2008Gas Standing Charge (pence per day)29.3178
Presumably you are in the London supply region where the official cap set by Ofgem is:
£107.01 maximum annual standing charge
£611.10 maximum annual cost for an average user (12,000 kWh pa)
The above prices exclude vat.
The EDF rates, which are quoted including vat, seem to match this cap.
I don't know what calculator you are using, but it appears to reflect the non-vat rates based upon a supplier applying the maximum standing charge permitted.
Edit: I see @Curiousgirl1 has already posted a similar comment earlier whilst I was looking this up for you

Tho going onto chat this morning the guy cudnt find any trace of my ZOG transfer and finally after i moaned he said not all ZOGs had been contacted with account details yet which i find hard to believe so will just wait it out0 -
The EDF app now seems to allow the submission of meter readings (bottom of screen 'Readings' option). It didn't previously, and seems to be a couple of steps behind the web interface. (Didn't actually try to submit a reading, because I already have done via another channel).
I was hopeful that we might be able to set up a DD today, but no sign so far.
Not heard anything from Zog or their Administrator(s) about Final Accounts or anything.
EDIT: The app also seems to offer the option of contact via SMS, if you are using your phone or have it on your tablet. Another way to annoy the customer agents...0 -
Yes and I was finally able to submit my opening reading this morning and it appears to have stuck this time.Deleted_User said:The EDF app now seems to allow the submission of meter readings (bottom of screen 'Readings' option). Although I've just checked the app and it's still asking for an opening reading. The website account seems to be happy, though, and is showing the reading I submitted earlier.0 -
Same here, submitted reading on-line (browser) and it accepted it fine. Fire up the app this morning and as noted, it’s asking for a meter read. I didn’t try to enter one as if the system is this disconnected then chances are an app reading will negatively impact the existing on-line one. Surely these two systems share a common dB?Umiamz said:Although I've just checked the app and it's still asking for an opening reading. You would think so, but it wouldn't surprise me if their website back end is on their legacy system and the app is on a new system which syncs with the legacy one. I've seen that happening in banks, at least.tim_p said:

"Prices shown above now include VAT at 5% so will be higher than OFGEM numbers by 5% as the default values don't include it"
It also shows Prepay and Pay on bill rates and Direct debit.
