Just checked my online account, it too says submt reading by 20th.

When do you think we will find out what to set the DD to or are they expecting us to work that out?

    Thanks

It's a DD, not an SO, so they'll set the amount.

ah yes ok :) So i just need to give them my bank info so they can set it up.

Also, under Tariff details, there is a bit saying Billing Type - Sign up for online billing, do we need to do this as I'm currently getting existing comms via email as chosen in preferences.

    Thanks

It's clear that the online account isn't going to be properly set up until the switch completes tomorrow, so I'm waiting until then to see if some of the oddities sort themselves out. Hopefully then we'll have the option to set up a DD, submit readings without errors, etc.

I think EDF allow you to set up a DD with exact payments for what you've used in the month rather than a regular set monthly payment one if you prefer.  That way although the amount will be variable at least you're not building up a large credit balance.

  • @Shedman I actually posted a completed DD application form to EDF - the pro-forma FREEPOST one that you highlighted last week - with the view that I had nothing to lose, and perhaps some time to gain.

Now just a case of seeing

    1) If it arrives at all, what with the post as it is, and the somewhat minimalist address of EDF, FREEPOST, PLYMOUTH.
    2) If it's actioned before the online or app option. See 1)

I did likewise (belt and braces and all that)...but reckon we'll be able to do it online before the post arrives (hopefully tomorrow)
  • I have received the emails and the letter from EDF. However as many do with a supplier they build up a large credit with them for use for the winter months. Now in winter the supply goes bust and means that I will have to pay EDF ENERGY until someone pulls there finger out for the my account credit to finally appear.

Anyone know how long does it take for the credits from Zog to appear with EDF?

It is one thing that the rates are nearly double but another thing to demand payment of bills when credits are still outstanding.

Hence I am dubious to provide any DD details until the credit appears on my account?

Are you all giving them the details first or awaiting until the correct balances appear?
