    Received my welcome letter on Saturday and set up my account the same day.

    No box for meter readings and unable to set up a direct debit.

    My main concern is the account correctly shows gas at the top of the page but when I click tariff it shows electricity.

    My account on their website is asking for an opening reading, so I've read the meter this evening and submitted it. I was going to submit it via the app but that's saying that it's not time for a reading yet and they'll notify me when they want it. The app also continues to say "Welcome back, let's get started" when you open it. It appears to be out of sync with the website account.

    Same crazy experience as described by others: website start date has changed from 02/12/21 to 15/12/21 and now asks for a meter reading.  Well, my crystal ball's cloudy so I'll do it on the 15th and see what happens.  But perhaps the EDF Advent Calendar will be showing something else by then?
    The app is on a different planet (or perhaps I should say in a different country).  It says 'Welcome - EDF supplies the energy in your new home.  Please send us your first meter reading'.  However, it then contradicts itself with a panel saying 'Wait for notification'.
    Hmmm, don't remember buying a new home.  I'll have to ask them where it is...

    I am already with EDF for electric, so will I get a dual fuel discount now they have taken over my gas from Zog.

    Would have liked a statement from Zog for Nov. but appears they will not send that now,  end of Oct. was £55. odd in credit,  Nov. bill needs to be taken off of that, Nov. payment added, plus Dec. payment. Hope EDF works that out correctly, hope I do not have to spend ages on the phone to them if there is any discrepancy.

    You should still get a final bill from Zog, that should show your balance at the point where EDF were appointed at SoLR, and of course any payments made to them after that date.

  • I have had that email this morning but they say that they will take the reading from our smart meter and I don’t have to do anything. It also says that they will be supplying gas by the 15th rather than on the 15th so it will be interesting to see what date they take the reading.

    Last night, after submitting the requested reading, the website said that I had submitted a reading and also showed what it was. This morning, after receiving an email from EDF asking for an opening reading, I had a look at my website account and it is also asking for a reading again. I submitted the same reading again, which it accepted.

    App is still saying that it's not time for a reading yet :neutral:

    Ditto.   

    The meter reading screen has changed - when I submitted my reading yesterday it was 5 boxes followed by X. Today it is freeform
