I doubt it - Xmas cards sent first class last weekend are only just arriving this weekend!Shedman said:If anyone wants to complete a Direct Debit form and post it in (its Freepost) here is a link. Not sure if it'll be quicker than waiting for the online setup to appear though0 -
You'll be able to see in your online account what they have done. You could also set up a variable direct debit to pay for exactly what you use each month.Robin9 said:
I'm happy if they do OK - ZOG had readings on Nov 30 and Dec 3. I've got Zog records going back in time.The_Green_Hornet said:

There is a meter reading tab but this just tells you how to read the various meters but there is no place to enter a reading.
Step 1 – understanding your usage
We'll use your meter read history from your previous supplier to agree your first meter reading and use it to open your EDF account. If we need a reading, we'll let you know.
so I suspect they will use your previous meter readings with ZOG to calculate the opening reading with EDF.
It would be good if Edf gave an opening statement rather than have to wait 6 months.1 -
I'm already with Edf for Electric (ex GNE) Their online info is quite vague - it shows the DD and other credits (there are a couple of unknown credits - possibly their guaranteed refund re GNE ) but no details of meter reads. I will have wait to February for a detailed statement. (or am I missing something - I only use the website)Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

I have the same, and it's all eerily familiar from when GNE went under.Robin9 said:My Edf account has moved onto "Meter Reading" but how do I do that ?

Eventually I expect they will send a mesage asking for readings. Meanwhile I'm taking my own readings and keeping my spreadsheet up-to-date.

Same here for me. That’s after various ‘sorry there has been a technical error’ messages when trying to get into the account, despite the welcome email that timed out well before the 48hr limit.Robin9 said:My Edf account has moved onto "Meter Reading" but how do I do that ?

Not at all impressed.I also changed my email address and now I'm being bombarded with umpteen 'Please verify your new email' messages. It provides a clickable link (very bad practice) which then displays 'Oops, something went wrong... ' each time. They didn't even send a warning to the old email address (more bad practice) but they happily accept the unverified new email address when logging in.0 -
My EDF shows a start date of 2/12/21 - thought we moved over on the 4/12/21?

Mine's the same, and you're correct, that's the start date shown by Ofgem. Presumably the teaboy who also looks after the EDF app thinks that they started supplying us the day after Zog went bust.PennineAcute said:My EDF shows a start date of 2/12/21 - thought we moved over on the 4/12/21?0 -

I've had problems with post arriving where I live. Post can be delayed for days without any extra pressure. A parcel posted tracked first class in late September did not find its way to me until mid October. It's why I ask everyone to send bills, invoices and important letters via email unless they're not urgent and can wait. Worse still, I have had an UPS courier complain about me never being in (yes, I am infamous)! I'm sorry that I work in the NHS and therefore can't stay at home all day because the patients aren't going to cure themselves just so you can deliver a parcel. I've only just got the EDF Welcome letter with my account number today. Back to the topic at hand, I have already registered on MyAccount a few days ago through the email method in this thread.Umiamz said:

I have the same problem with my meter reading page, can't submit one yet. I'll hold off, I have a photograph of what the meter was back in the month so I can submit that backdated if needs be. Same with Direct Debit, can not set-up one online yet.
I'm hoping my Zog final bill, which should be in credit the last time I checked, will not be a repeat of the Symbio one and I end up having an extra load of gas usage added to the final bill by the "mysterious third party".0
