    I did not fancy submitting my bank details by any of the channels they suggested, anyway. Not secure enough. WhatsApp, SMS or chat? I think not.

    Should be plenty, provided EDF actually let us do so. If it gets to the 15th of Jan and they still haven't unlocked that bit of the accounts, well then we can start arguing with them.

  • Sounds like they might subsequently credit you if you have to pay your first bill at the higher rate. As long as the DD is eventually set up by 31/1. 
  • Just wondering why some posters open a new thread, when a perfectly good one, covering the same subject, exists already and has much more background…

    Yes I agree, I was actually going to look for a telephone number and call them and provide the details.  Would be a lot easier if you could enter your bank info via there website and it then processed it.

    Have people started cancelling there Zog DD's yet? see the update page says we can now cancel, do we still get the message regarding a fee for cancelling the DD or not now?

    Just noticed on my EDF account, I have a entry under Account activity and it shows the current rates of the cash/cheque monthly, quiet bit more.

    They are charging me an extra 0.216p per kWh and 4.66p per day for the cash/cheque monthly, hopefully I can get DD setup before payment.  Hopefully I can choose payment day.

    I haven't seen that email either. I shared your pain @MadMax2_2 - I too could not register without an account number. You are not stupid or alone! However, through sheer doggedness and bloodymindedness I have pinned down my customer number via Twitter DM. Hence I am now all set up online and in-app, with a forecast switch date of 15/12. Hopefully Zog are keeping their end up. 

    Where did you see it say a forecast switch date? I had a look but mine only says switch in progress, no date mentioned.

    Yes, cancelled mine and didn't get the email from Zog regarding the fee.
