murmeltier said:Not sure this has been mentioned, but I went onto the EDF website and managed to create a new online account using the email address that Zog have for me, and I can now see on the EDF account that there is a switch in progress for my Gas supply.
Can also see all my address details etc. (i've never been with EDF previously)
I haven't worked out yet how to sign up for Direct Debit, doesn't look like that's possible at this stage.0 -

I've signed up to an online EDF account using my Zog email address, and it shows my EDF account number. The billing defaults to Cash/Cheque which is significantly more expensive, but it was eventually confirmed during a long webchat that the overcharging will be refunded after the welcome letter has been sent and the DD has been set up.EDF offer Variable Direct Debit which should make billing far easier to understand and avoid the problems of credit building up.0

FWIW I was with EDF (ex-GNE) until September, when I joined Zog (and wisely chose their Mercury 24-month fix - well it was wise until Zog folded).I've logged into my old EDF account this evening and I too have a "switch in progress" message.N. Hi all,
I have just managed to sign in to EDF too and mine also says switch in progress.
@MaDMaX** - I went to EDF home page and click My A count in top right. I then entered my email address and it says no good, and in the text it mentions if first time you need to register to setup account, I clicked that and then i entered my email and it then sent a email for me to add a password, got the email, set a password and now I'm in
Unable to change bank details, it says to contact them so I'll wait until I have details of what the DD will be etc before I do any of that and also get the welcome details. I did change my preferred contact options
Thanks for the info!

Step 3 – paying for your energy
We’ve set you up to pay by cash or cheque. If you’d like to set up a Direct Debit, you can do this
once your switch is complete. You can track your switch on MyAccount and once it’s complete, you
can set up a Direct Debit at edfenergy.com/directdebitsetup
