PennineAcute said:Advice please - as I have a problem. Yesterday, I checked the online database and saw that EDF were now my supplier, even though my EDF account was still not completely set up.
After Symbio went bust, I decided to lock my electricity with EON Next as it was a reasonable tariff. Same SC with a 2p increase in UP. Yes, it is a gamble and it will cost be just under £50 extra until April. If the increase is more than £50 in April, I will have won - otherwise I have lost.
Yesterday, I decided to move my gas over to EON Next. Same SC and 1.7p extra UP. This has resulted in around an extra £60 between now and April. Same gamble. But there are no exit fees if it fails.EON have already contacted EDF and so EDF are now refusing to take my bank details, as there is now a switch in progress. Can they do this? Otherwise, I am paying cash prices until I leave.I have moved to the same 18 month fix tarrif, except that I initated the gas switch to EON Next the same day Zog went down. My gas supply with EON went live on the 20/12/21 and now it is a wait and see game to see what happens with the 18 day gap.Find my supplier has now changed showing me with EON, No more increases for 18 months thankfully.1 -
My switch is still "in progress" - first billing date has changed from 15th Jan to 11th Jan !fossman said:
My switch is still showing as being in progress but I now also have the 18 Jan showing as a first bill date.Shedman said:
Can't put in DD details yet (switch still kn progress) but interestingly telling me my first bill is 18 Jan. I can understand them spreading the bills out a bit but thats quite a difference in datesKeep_pedalling said:
Web site, it also tells me that I should expect my first bill on 24 Dec, although the DD won’t be functional until the new year.Deleted_User said:
Sadly, not in my case. App or web or both?Keep_pedalling said:I just logged on to my EDF account to find that the switch is complete and have been able to initiate DD payments.0 -
Is this shown on the web or in the app? On the web in the bills and payments section at one time it said that my bill was due on the 20th Dec. However this information is no longer there and my switch is also in progress and I can no longer find the new first billing date.brewerdave said:

My switch says Meter Reading and is showing nearly complete still but it's not showing a first bill date now and no bills are showing so far.

This is what my EDF web interface says, in the 'Bills and Payments' section of the menu on the left hand side.
Coming up
+13 January 2022 Your next bill (for 15 December 2021 - 13 January 2022)
Says next, but would actually be the first. An agent confirmed receipt of the reading I submitted 14/12. Also said 'it can take up to 28 days to fully register after the contract start date...'
My main concern is to get on to the DD rate asap, as it is cheaper than 'cheque'.0 -
So long as you register for DD by the end of January it will be backdated, anyway.Deleted_User said:This is what my EDF web interface says, in the 'Bills and Payments' section of the menu on the left hand side.Coming up

On the web - haven't set the EDF app up yet because the BG app that I set up after the failure of Neon Reef is no use to man or beast !!FishInGlass said:

The EDF app isn't too bad (at least on Android) but it doesn't give you all the same information that you get on the web.brewerdave said:
