@kev2009    I expect we will get the usual monthly statement on the 9th or 10th.

PS Did you manage to submit readings ?
I submitted a reading on the last day of the month, as usual. They always use my actual reading if I submit it then. I also took a photo of the gas meter last night with the reading showing.

I've also submitted that one to Zog using the link under Contact Us on their website.

As has been said, Zog were a well run company and there aren't that many accounts so this one might be done quite quickly.

Thanks, not not yet, Do you think its worth submitting a reading, given that EDF are likely to as for one?

There's no such thing as too many readings :)
(Well, I guess more than one a day might cause problems - but short of that, there's no such thing!)

Just got an email from EDF.  Doesn't say anything new though.  I see the tariff we are being put on doesn't have an end date or price guaranteed date (unlike the the BG one for NR customers) so guess we won't get 6 months at this tariff.
  • Also got an email from EDF. Says we are put on Welcome Standard tariff. Can't see actually what the costs are though.

Start typing your tariff name (needed)

    Welcome Standard

    Tariff type

    Variable

    Payment method

    Budget Direct Debit (Monthly)

    Unit rate

    4.169p per kWh

    Standing charge

    26.12p per day

    Tariff ends on

    No end date

    Price guaranteed until

    No end date

Exit fees (if you cancel this tariff before the end date)

    Not applicable

    Discounts and additional charges

    Not Applicable

I just noticed the above is the variable tariff despite selecting Fixed!, whatever i try to select on their website it comes up with the above tariff ! hmmmm

The prices are at the price cap level. Note that EDF said that they would not be able to carry over any direct debits, so everyone will go onto quarterly cash or cheque initially. Unlike British Gas, for example, EDF charge these customers at the higher level as permitted by the price cap rules. (British Gas charge all their SOLR customers at the direct debit price cap level irrespective of payment method.) That makes it important to set up a direct debit at the earliest opportunity.
