Northern_Wanderer said:Still waiting on a bill I requested, lol. But I start to wonder about that as I asked what the bill amount was. I was given a credit figure which I thought was odd. Worked everything out and that's the credit figure before the bill was taken into acount. Will I ever get the bill? Or do I have to contact EDF again? How long do people wait for bills to show after requesting one? Trying to be patient as I know it's a busy time for them. My patience is wearing thin with EDF.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill2

utter clowns... still chasing this £8 credit - supposedly it's been passed up to a manager for approval, confirmed by them and will show in my account in 24 hours... but they've been saying that for well over a week (the last time being on Saturday)... still nothing showing... could cut them some slack if they're busy with meter readings, but credit has been added quickly (within 24 hours) in the past... you never quite know with them if their definition of 24 hours is just 24 hours or 24 hours of a working day.they're billing systems are shocking - my account shows as £15.81 in debit (which is the incorrect Dec 4 - Dec 15 bill)... I was sent that bill physically (and by email via chat), but not showing in My Account (possibly cos it technically predates when they started supplying the gas)... assume it will be a line item in a future bill, but who knows.seems little point in logging into the chat again, so i'll email complaints - not least because I don't know if the guy I chatted with on Saturday hasn't muddied the situation more.1

Spoke to the complaints team by phone earlier, answered very quickly and very helpful. They're not sure why billing is showing what it is and advised to use bank DD reclaim process which I have done. Money is already back in my account. Will wait to see what EDF come up with in terms of fixing the issues but if I can get Eon to transfer once the chaos of the last few days has died down I won't be hanging around.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0

Theoretically, yes. I didn't mean to imply that EDF were wrong and it actually should be a credit!
@PennineAcute What is your tariff ? Apologies if you've told earlier in one of the 132 pages.
I left EDF in January, hence them refunding my Zog credit by cheque. Then they slapped the £16.21 on my account with no bill. I was on pay on receipt of bill.

Well surprise surprise, I submitted my readings but got an estimated bill. EDF estimated my usage up to 31st March and overcharged me £1.49 as they used my actual reading and applied it to the 2nd April. I was therefore overcharged charged at the 1st April rates on 45KWH.I changed to whole amount DD. Now I see a payment due for the incorerct bill (which is ok) but also another DD due of £48, for god knows what! What's the point of submitting actual readings when they never use them at the point of the price change? I can't stand EDF anymore and will see if Eon Next wil take my gas supply. Then I can have my April's gas at the old rates until I switch. Also, I had to contact EDF as my requested bill never arrived, they said it got stuck and had to be released.2

I found out the £48 is the amount that would be taken if I don't submit meter readings. So it's like you're still on a budget account actually. Well, they better actually produce a bill then when I do submit my readings and hopefully not still use estimates!

Hopefully the last time posting on this thread. Finally agreed to Tuesday to move my Gas to join my electricity at Shell. Requested a bill via webchat yesterday once they actually had people assigned to it. Email today and on checking everything is present and correct, credit from ZOG, 4th to 15th Dec as per paper bill and all my other adjustments. Agreed not the easiest to read but it is all there and accurate. Only thing was a rise in my Direct Debit from £30 to £38 but as I'm leaving this won't an issue. Anyway my estimate per month for the next 12 months is £45 per month.0
