In another topic on this board, a poster said, "Set up a N3rgy.com account (use the ‘I am a consumer’ link. If you can see data, then your smart meter is connected to The DCC network."
I followed this course of action and found my usage data for gas but the tariffs were not set correctly.
Can I conclude that my SMETS1 Liberty meter is connected to the DCC? Is this the same as migration/adoption?
Why can EDF not access my smart meter if it is connected to the DCC?I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".2 -
Yes. As to your last question, you will need to ask EDF. I have SMETS2 meters both of which were working when my gas was switched from Zog to EDF. EDF claimed it couldn’t pull data from my gas meter. I switched back to Octopus in late January, and both meters are fully working.Sterlingtimes said:In another topic on this board, a poster said, "Set up a N3rgy.com account (use the ‘I am a consumer’ link. I do have the Bright App that is working well except that the gas rates are historic at 3.213p per kWh and a standing charge of 16.80p. History for gas is Ovo to Economy Energy to Ovo to Octopus to Zog to EDF. I have saved a lot of money along the way but have also suffered from enforcing my contractual rights with the dreadful Economy Energy.I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. No problem. As an aside, I was looking back through my old files over the weekend as it is time for another shredding session. As I expected, the majority of my issues/complaints over recent years were directed at energy suppliers. These have included incorrect Final Bills; the use of a fixed calorific value for gas billing, to charges raised for energy supplied when I was with another supplier. Given that domestic energy supply is nothing more complicated than a simple metering and billing exercise, one has to wonder why suppliers make such heavy weather of it? Is it their systems or the quality of the people that they employ - along with the training that staff are given (or not)?Sterlingtimes said:

...and EDF's poxy billing system shines again....
. random debit has appeared online for £20:86, in grey, but not with a minus sign in front of it, no explaination of what it's for, nothing... I fear I'm going to have to call them

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

on day 7 of my email to the complaints department - not had any reply yet, though it was read on the 4th... bad planning on my part as working day 10 would be Wednesday next week... calling not really an option as that would likely cost as much as the overcharge.the last meter reading generated a new bill, though they seeming took the opportunity to also i crease the theoretical monthly direct debit amount accordingly - being on an whole amount DD, I think I only pay that monthly figure if I don't submit a reading on time.0

If £20.86 matches the Bill Adjustment amount (plus VAT) on your 15 December 2021 - 31 December 2021 statement then it is the charges for the 04 December 2021 - 15 December 2021 period which you should have already received a paper statement for.GunJack said:...and EDF's poxy billing system shines again....

But yes I agree their billing system leaves a lot to be desired.0
