Thanks for the complaint email. Now submitted. Billing is showing 3 different amounts to be taken by DD next week, none of which correspond to the monthly agreed DD.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0

The "this is not a request for payment" for Dec 4-15 is now showing in My Account as a Debit - no sign of a bill.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1

And there is still no breakdown of the random credit of a few ££s shown for the 19th March on the summary.0 -
@brewerdave My "this is not a request for payment" dated March 1st arrived as a hard copy in mid March. Have you had an actual BILL for this ? (Mine is wrong anyway as it uses cash/cheque rates instead of DD) The only actual bills I've had cover Dec 15 - Jan 5 and Jan 6 -March 1 (the latter I requested) Just requested another one -Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

The only "bill" I have had was dated 16th March - but covers the period 15th Dec to 24th Dec - also then includes the charges for 4th Dec to 15th Dec (as per the hard copy) and the DD payments made in Jan, Feb and March !!
This " bill " has one day at the DD rates ; the rest is calculated at the cash/chq rates. It also appears to have double charged for one day !
I'm used to untangling /interpreting these missives from Utility Cos. but for most customers it would be an impossibility !!0 -
Perhaps, perhaps one day EDF will send a comprehensive statement giving detail rather than "a credit of £8.34" has been added to your account, etc
Perhaps ............ (doesn't hold breath)Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill2 -

**Before any of the usual suspects say anything, I am fully aware that this is a Zog/EDF thread - I am just continuing a previous conversation from a couple of pages back. I promise to never mention it again, in 'the wrong place'.

Looking again at my bill this morning the numbers still make absolutely no sense and I'm used to working with numbers every day so I dread to think how some confusing/worrying others might find this information.
- You paid us credit £228.00 (3 payments of £76.00)
- Your charges for this period (including VAT) £123.53
- Your new account balance £104.47 in credit
- Total amount due £123.53
EDF are just creating a mountain of work for themselves and huge amount of worry for any customers that get bills like this.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
There should be another line which would be the balance at the beginning ( a debit balance of £228.00)- the same as the balance carried forward from the last bill
EDF do provide some challenges - have you not had an email about the £112/73 ? They seem to introduce odd things and then they disappear
I'm also ex Zog and continue to be amazedNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1
