Thanks all.  Sounds like its pretty quick to get SoLR and first contact from new supplier.  Understand it may take bit of time to get everyone's account setup, I presume the email will state when they need a meter reading by as my gas meter isn't a smart meter so will need to manually provide it and unfortunately, my last meter reading was August, I haven't given Zog readings since, they has estimated them so will likely be more than I've actually used.
    Thanks
    Kev
You've probably still got time to submit one at https://www.zogenergy.com/meter-reading

they have never taken it before, only if I did it on end of the month and it seems the readings are not updating now from what I've read online so I'll leave as is, less complicated :)

Good to see that Zog has already entered end of month smart readings into my online account.
How do you see this information in your online account?
You have to drop an email to Zog asking for access to their beta portal. I doubt you'll be able to do that now that they've ceased trading, though.

I used this link for access to their BETA.  Just enter your username and password, and you will have access.

What password? we never had an online account when with Zog.
If you go to that link you can create one. Just made an account now and can enter readings and download bills, seems to work fine
You set your own password, just fill in the details using the e-mail they have for you, your preferred password, post code and account number.  If the system is still working they will send you an activation code and job done.  It simply uses all the information they already have.

Just musing - a lot of us were with Neon Reef - wonder what will happen if the SOLR for Zog is also BG - HOW are they going to cope with effectively duplicate accounts since many people use the same email for both suppliers ??

If they used the same SVR tariff I don't know that it would cause them many problems - effectively it would be the same as a normal dual energy account?
  • Come on ofgem, you know it makes sense to put us with BG…

Ugh - it's EDF from today. Hopefully they've improved from how they were 10 years ago when I was last with them.

This could be interesting as the UP to EDF process seems to be a little bit of a fluff up.  How much of this is EDF and how much is UP we can only guess.

I guess we'll find out first-hand, but given that there's only 12k of us and Zog always seemed to know what they were doing, hopefully it will be as smooth as a cashmere codpiece ...

So now I have my electricity supplied by British Gas, and my gas supplied by French Electricity. Great! :D I guess I won't be able to rationalise that unless someone offers a fixed tariff that beats the price cap in April.
