Zog has gone 😢

Yes, it's not a problem for me. I do have SMETS1 meters which worked fine with Octopus but they have yet to be enrolled/adopted into the DCC.[Deleted User] said:
For those without a smart meter, I doubt if Zog is bothering to update account information given that a final reading will need to be produced in a few days. Given the size of Zog’s customer base and its excellent customer billing etc, I doubt that any SoLR will struggle to get the information that it needs to set up new accounts.Umiamz said:
I've been using the beta site for a few weeks now but, in the past few days, it has stopped updating. Readings that I submitted via the 'old' method are not appearing in my beta account.Poundwize said:
If you go to that link you can create one. Just made an account now and can enter readings and download bills, seems to work finePatr100 said:
What password? we never had an online account when with Zog.PennineAcute said:Umiamz said:
You have to drop an email to Zog asking for access to their beta portal. I doubt you'll be able to do that now that they've ceased trading, though.nrmsmith said:
How do you see this information in your online account?[Deleted User] said:Good to see that Zog has already entered end of month smart readings into my online account.
I used this link for access to their BETA. Just enter your username and password, and you will have access.
I wouldn't rely on it too much now that Zog are winding things up...0 -
Can a failed company actually put a charge on a cancelled DD? I wouldn't think so as they are no longer in business.gsmh said:I cancelled my Zog direct debit yesterday and this morning I received an email warning me I needed a DD set up or I would incur a fee of £35. Is it safe to ignore this automated message now Zog is no more?Someone please tell me what money is0 -
They could add it to the Final Bill which is passed on to the SoLR.wild666 said:

I suspect the vast majority of Zog accounts will be in credit at this time of the year as they were very hot on managing DDs so a failed company deducting a penalty from an in credit account would be tantamount to theft when they are the ones that first broke the contract.Dolor said:

They haven't "broken" the contract. They are allowed to end the contract immediately if "Ofgem appoints another supplier, instead of us, to supply your premises."molerat said:

The contract still stands until then. After that the terms won't apply so you can cancel the DD without charge.0 -
Hi all,
Do you think we will know who our SoLR will be next week? (looks like SoLR is generally appointed after 5-6 days) If so, how long after that does it normally take to get a letter from the SoLR confirming they are taking our the account and provide further details of tariff, how to setup DD, when they need a meter reading by etc? I'm guessing made we will get the letter the following week?
Thanks

With Symbio OFGEM announced the appointment on 4th Oct and I received an e-mail from E.On on 5th Oct asking for a meter read with a click lonk but it wasn't until 13th Nov that I was able to get a full on line account & DD set up though. Zog is a smaller supplier with good record keeping so things may run a bit quicker.kev2009 said:Hi all,

I'd guess Monday for the announcement, with start of supply backdated to Sunday, but that's just my guess - it might happen today or it could be over the weekend. You might get an email from the new supplier within hours giving basic information and then it will take a few weeks for a new account to be set up and a final bill from Zog to be generated with any surplus funds transferred to the new supplier.kev2009 said:Hi all,

As there's little incentive to move on at the moment this really shouldn't be too much of an issue to most people.0 -
I'm rather hoping that it will be Octopus because they supply my electricity. Otherwise, not too bothered because the cap will keep things in check over the coldest months.0

Thanks all. Sounds like its pretty quick to get SoLR and first contact from new supplier. Understand it may take bit of time to get everyone's account setup, I presume the email will state when they need a meter reading by as my gas meter isn't a smart meter so will need to manually provide it and unfortunately, my last meter reading was August, I haven't given Zog readings since, they has estimated them so will likely be more than I've actually used.
Thanks
