Thought that was a good price.

Oh have to tell you about my bargain in tescos last night. I got a pair of black velvet knee high boots (the stretchy pull up ones) that actually went up my tree trunks for the bargain price of £4.50, they started off at £18 which is still good then down to £10 & I got them for £4.50 which really p*&*%d my mum off cos they only had size 5's & she's an 8 I'm normally a 4 but have to have boots a size bigger. I'm wearing them now with a black skirt just above the knee & for the first time in ages I feel a little bit sexy OH is in for a treat tonight!! Cos I also got some new undies in the sale too from Store 21 white with black lace trim for £3 for the bra & £3 for the knickers in as vix suggested I tried a 38B & fit perfect & sounds better than my normal 40A.

Think I better let young Ajax respond properly to this :rotfl::rotfl:my heart is still fluttering away

yay Emmalis! there's nothing like new boots is there? and new pants too, what a result. Vix sounds like your meal was fab, and I'm having a greatbirthday thanks. Suggs I think that you should definitely put your story on page 1 it is very motivational.

rofling at the threesome comment too. I really don't think thats what either suggs or ajax have in mind. . . .

linzi, no idea about scales but i love your avatar! Please post often ( preferably alternating with DellyBelly)

    Now THERE'S a threesome!

Bluecorn and BrokeMum welcome to this bunch of losers, I see Ajax has made himself and myself known. I did have a story hidden somewhere, but not sure where it is now. I should however find that list of hints we all built when someone joined and post on the new page 1 which will need doing in the next few days. Keep posting the questions and we all shall help in whatever way we can.

That would defo be helpful, Anything would be a help. Im gutted Ive not done Wednesday to Wednesday now, Im having mine on Saturdays as I can have that as a treat day. Hope I can still be added onto the list (wherever it is). Is there any best time to weigh in folks, Im gathering morning before shower and breakfast but after the wee ! hehehe.

What is "Lose weight 17" all about, Where is 16? When does 18 come round?

Thanks, Sorry to myther, I will get the hang of it.

......I tried three times but my fingers kept slipping off the keys.
  • wow peeps! Some stunning losses being reported. It may be a sign of my rather restricted life at the moment but it was the excitement of it being 'chart filling in day' that finally crowbared me out of bed this morning (11.59 precisely:D )
Where do I start: bails - fanastic or what!! Also emma, ajax and taffy - some excellent focussing post xmas going on here. It's great to see our newbies get off to a great start too: well done Gpuk (good decision to move to wed w.i.:T ) & catsnine & andie. Granny - you just keep consistantly losing, building up you totals. Granny wll be the first to tell you peeps to hold back on the congrats for a wee while yet - a total of 25lbs is fab, but that's 1st 11lbs, not 2st just yet. QT: I'll put you down as a sts. Yes you should always weigh on a hard surace, not carpet. And always at the same time of day - what time did you weigh yourself last time? Vix - I demand you get on those scales and give me a result for the chart:D .
Granny I'll PM you later today.
KPC HAPPY BIRTHDAY cake.gif :Dand belated birthday greeting to raphel and pixiedust danceparty.gif..
Suggs -definitely put your story up again - its well written and inspirational.
My own w.i. today and I've lost 1lb. I'm relieved it isn't more given my total loss of appetite and left jaw hinge still very painful. I'm still mainly on soups and smoothies. In fact I'm struggling each day to get enough calories in me. Perhaps I should resign as a fraudulant member :rotfl: (Nah, you don't get rid of me that easily:D )
Right, I'll go and start filling in the chart yay.gif
PS bluecorn - I'll add you name to the chart for this evening. Don't worry, other folks have diferent w.i. days too - just post on saturdays and it'll be picked up for the next wed's chart by who ever is doing the chart. Sounds sensible to do a sat if you can then use that as a treat day.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

i bought a book from asda called the bla bla bikini body plan something or other, it was inthe sale for £2

it said that a lb of fat is worth 3,500 calories or something! Its got this detox diet where day one you just drink fluids, day two have fluid and nuts and then it steadily increases. I cant imagine doing that, id die of hunger! I guess it would be good for 4 weeks away from a holiday though...

I weighed myeslf, im still 10stone 4lb. So that is yet another same old same old.

Well I was weighed at the Doctors this morning and was distraught o see I now weight 98 kilos - I was 93 in March! My lovely doctor said some of this was due to the pill, but obviously some of it is to do with me being a greedy sod - I've piled on the pounds since my wedding in September. I'd like to get back down to a size 14 again (currently a size 16-18) as I was quite comfy like that, and had nice curves rather than current blubber :p This will take a weight loss of at least 3 stone, however. Is this do-able in a year with steady, regular exercise and a sensible diet? I don't want to do any silly crash dieting just to ut weight back on afterwards.

Also, could anyone recommend any decent scales?

Wecome linzi. You've come to the right place for loads of friendly support. I started of as a size 18+ in May and after 2 stone loss am comfortably in size 14 - in fact I bought my irst 14 trousers at 1st 10lb loss, (top half a little behind), so maybe you will get there quicker than you think. I can't help much on the scales front other than I would always buy digital as they are easier to read, and I think you get a little what you pay for. Mine are salter brand from argos. Other peeps here on the previous 2 pages have been talking about ones that measure fat and water content and alsl orts but they are further on the road of weight loss.
Suggs, when you rewrite the page one, what do you and others think of dropping the reference to the 2lb club? I've been here for 7 months now and the 2lb club has never been refered to in all that time, only the 5lb monthly challenge, and it just seems to confuse newbies to have 2 different challenges when we don't uphold the 2lb one at all.
Efrieze - sorry you haven't reached your goal but you look stunning and have done so well. As Ajax says, 7st is just a rounded made up number. Have a great holiday:T .
Weigh ins: still to hear from: denbo, ephemera, jojilufc, julesgr, justmarried,
    katyk, pixiedust, poohbear, starlight, thriftmonster.
I'd quite like to get the chart out by 6pm if poss this week as I have an unexpected chance to go out this evening for a few hours and having been virtually house bound since xmas day would like to go and may be very tired when I get in.Hopeully that's possible for you peeps listed above xx

Welcome to Buecorn , Linzi and Brokemum. It's great here, you'll like it.

Wll done on losses Andie2308, Gpuk, Taffy, Ajax, Bails, Catznine, Emmalis, Brighton Belle and well done Efrieze for staying the same. Efrieze you have done so magnificnetly, what a marvellous change in your BMI.

Catznine ... we don't have cookies and cakes at our afterschool club anymore due to the nutrition regulations. Maybe you could get your one to change to carrot sticks and so on?

Thanks for KPC for mentioning the p** word -- I think it has to appear on this thread at least once a day. (Just like a healthy digestion)

I've lost 1.5 lb this week, so now a total of 25 lb.

Thank you to Bails and Suggs for the congratualtions on breakingthrough the 2 stone barrier:confused: but last time I looked 2 stone was 28 lb so I'm not there yet.:( ...... but I will be. Thanks BB for backing me up, I was beginning to wonder if I was even more  than usual.

Many years ago, in the midst of time the 'Lose Weight' thread started, after the thread gets to a certain size it starts to effect the speed of the forum, so 'Lose Weight 2' was created. I ventured onto here June 2006 after starting my change of eating habits (I also hate the diet word!) January 2006. 7th Feburary 2006 was my first visit to the dietician.

Anyways Lose Weight 16 is HERE
    Lose Weight 15 is HERE
    Lose Weight 14 is HERE

Unfortunatley MSE forums suffered a major outage a few months ago and the backup didnt work properly so all posts before last summer have been lost.

I will start Lose Weight 18 - New Year - Return of the Sexy Body sometime next week, I will add my story to page one and However I would like someones before and after pics like what we did before Christmas, to also add to page one?? Any Takers? Im not going to scare everyone off all by myself :rotfl:

Regarding your weighin day, I weigh in on Fridays as its the day before I play rugby and so some reason I discovered I put weight on Monday and Tuesday after rugby, and was killing myself to lose weight for wednesday weighin. So Saturday is not a problem. Just post and be proud :)
