Bluecorn and BrokeMum welcome to this bunch of losers, I see Ajax has made himself and myself known. I did have a story hidden somewhere,
... well, I know you're too modest to big yourself up Suggs, (unlike some people who shall remain nameless) so I did it for you.
Also, on your new page 1, maybe you could put your story and pics there?Just cos the MSE lot took the link from your sig doesn't mean you can't have it somewhere. Then in your sig you could have "See my story on Page 1 of Weight Loss xx"

thanks bails and ajax. No smutty birthday cards yet which is very disappointing but I didn't get to see todays post before leaving for work.
i made a batch of margarita cupcakes to bring to work to celebrate - had half a one last night with OH and the rest are sitting on the desk next to me whilst I eat my fruit! They were very faffy to make but very nice. Trouble is i now have a massive bowl of orange flavoured cream cheese frosting in the fridge because it made way too much. ortunately oh is home alone tonight so it will probably all be gone when i get home.
Being very good as i have 4 meals out before sunday, then another 2 next week and another 2 the week after. There are a lot of birthdays and stuff coming up so it's a potential difficult time to diet. However all these great losses being recorded are spurring me on.0 -
Great losses guys! :T
I have the Salter Total Body Analyser Personal Scale, bought along with the Salter Aquatronic 1030 Electronic Scale for a total of £40 (usually £50).
Like most household scales I doubt they are pinpoint accurate, but with a known brand like Salter I would hope they are at least consistent week on week, and this will allow me to record the data and track how I'm doing.
I don't think they would have been much use at an earlier stage when it was just the weight I was concentrating on getting off, but now I am really trying to hone, tone and sculpt so from a fitness perspective they are useful to me.
I'm trying to save a lot more money this year, so if I didn't already have them I don't think I'd bother, I'd try to get to Boots once a month or something.
Hope this helps!0 -

...........it won't bore anyone who's already read it cos they either won't read it this time or they will go and read it having already liked it first time.
However, if just one of the newer folk gets a bit of inspiration from it then you've more than justified doing it. You'll be preparing the new page 1 soon anyway, there's nothing to lose!!0 -
Hi Guys just a quickie in between picking my DD up from playschool & taking her to books for babies.
I have lost 3lbs this week 18lbs altogether now.
Oh have to tell you about my bargain in tescos last night. I got a pair of black velvet knee high boots (the stretchy pull up ones) that actually went up my tree trunks for the bargain price of £4.50, they started off at £18 which is still good then down to £10 & I got them for £4.50 which really p*&*%d my mum off cos they only had size 5's & she's an 8 I'm normally a 4 but have to have boots a size bigger. I'm wearing them now with a black skirt just above the knee & for the first time in ages I feel a little bit sexy OH is in for a treat tonight!! Cos I also got some new undies in the sale too from Store 21 white with black lace trim for £3 for the bra & £3 for the knickers in as vix suggested I tried a 38B & fit perfect & sounds better than my normal 40A.
Right got to go now gotta have some lunch then walk into town for books for babies in a bit.
take care em xxLife is like a box of chocs ..... i've got a soft centre but I ate the whole box.

Thanks Suggs (always nice to feel someone cares
), I'm very happy at my present weight, just trying to get to grips with maintaining so I don't plan to go significantly lower, but because I'm (over) cautious, I expect a bit more will come off before it levels out. Can't afford to drop another dress size anyway because of the cost of the clothes! (And it's hard enough finding 8's in clothes suitable for my age, let alone 6's!)
As for body fat, although I'm perhaps on the border of underfat I'm not sure it would hurt to go a little lower as long as it's fat turning to lean muscle rather than being "all skin and bone". I suspect a lot of athletic females are WELL into the "underfat" bracket and still very healthy, not saying I want to go that far, but I would like a more sporty looking body.
I suppose the key is to look at the BMI, fat, water and muscle mass together and get an overall picture, rather than just taking one of those elements.
Anyway, work calls! Shouldn't even be here, haha!0 -
Hey everyone,
It feels like ive been away for ages? I dont want to get on scales because this is what i ate last night:
Chicken with mushroom
Boiled rice
Sweet and sour chicken
noodles and beansrouts
prawns in batter x3
chicken bits in batter x lots
3 glasses of wine
a chocolate ice cream pudding.
There was probably more aswell. But i enjoyed it x infinity and beyond. Love the chinese and there was nothing i could do
Well done to EVERYONE! some really good losses!

Well I was weighed at the Doctors this morning and was distraught o see I now weight 98 kilos - I was 93 in March! My lovely doctor said some of this was due to the pill, but obviously some of it is to do with me being a greedy sod - I've piled on the pounds since my wedding in September. I'd like to get back down to a size 14 again (currently a size 16-18) as I was quite comfy like that, and had nice curves rather than current blubber
This will take a weight loss of at least 3 stone, however. Is this do-able in a year with steady, regular exercise and a sensible diet? I don't want to do any silly crash dieting just to ut weight back on afterwards.
Also, could anyone recommend any decent scales?0
