I can't believe that Asjx and victory have both lost 5lbs this week - amazing losses. Well done. And well done to all the other losers too and hello to all the newbies.

I have a maintain to report this week which is a bit disappointing as it means I haven't reached my target for my holiday.

I am going to do a petrichor now...

On 8th January 2007 I weighed 263 lbs with a bmi of 37.7. On 8th January 2008, I weighed 168.5 lbs with a bmi of 23.9. So not quite reached 7 stone but I coping with it. (I can't believe I told you my weight - even my DH doesn't know my numbers!)

Off to Australia on Saturday night - woo hoo - 30th birthday on Tuesday.

Hello! Just checking in again, first week over and I have lost 2lb :j very pleased with that, don't think it is down to my dieting as much as stress and worry over dd but I have been playing the Paul Mackenna cd and somehow that is keeping me away from the cookies and cakes at After school club!
Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

........efrieze, don't be disappointed. You know the 7 stone number is largely meaningless, the real deal is to keep genuinely aiming for it, which is what you have done. SIX STONE AND TEN AND A HALF POUNDS is what you have lost in a year. Keep shouting that to yourself on the plane. Tell everyone who will listen, be the world's most annoying plane passenger ever :) You're now in the middle of healthy BMI range, which means you only had that to lose anyway, not seven stone. You've been inspirational in your focussed efforts all year, well done you.
Happy birthday, and enjoy your holiday xxx

Happy birthday also to you, my smutty little mate kpc xxx

    Great loss bails xxx

I've even bought the weight watchers magazine this morning.... blimey.

That's good to know. His book/CD is on my Amazon wishlist, I very nearly bought it. I hope it works for you.

Hey guys, some fantastic losses this week, well done everyone! :T :T Special congratulations to Grannynise for smashing through the 2 stone barrier, woo hoo! Great news Beanie, I'm so pleased for you. Efrieze, I admire your very sensible approach to not reaching your 'goal' - as Ajax says, you have done amazingly well and deserve to be shouting it from the rooftops! And thankyou for sharing something you have held so close; I think that's a real sign of what a great bunch of friends we are :D
Good luck to anyone else still to weigh in and here's to another great week peeps xx

Steady on Ajax! :D Great loss mate, the rest'll soon be gone.

I'm intrigued by these scales that everyone has been talking about and would like to know some more please. I have Tanita but they're v old and are inaccurate. I'm especially interested because I know my body makeup has changed dramatically since the illness - a lot of muscle has disappeared so my fat percentage rise is even higher than my weight increase, if you see what I mean. I don't want to compare to 'before' (I can't as I don't have those stats and comparing the 'old' and 'new' me is highly counter-productive) but I would like to be able to see my muscle reform as I recover. So, in as MS way as poss, how much are they and are they really worth it in your opinion? Also, has anyone had their body fat measured in another way and compared the results with the scales ie how accurate do you think they are? Mine are 8-10% out (they currently show 41%). Fortunately, I made the decision that all things health (except food) were not to be included in the 4K challenge so these could come out of another pot (hopefully, she says, scratching her head and trying to remember if the pot has anything in it :D). Thanks a lot guys.

    Hi Suggs

We must have similar scales, I got mine for my B'day just before Christmas, with the same instructions/advice. I have always weighed myself first thing in the morning and have continued to do so - it seemed weird to weigh myself after eating and drinking all day.

My body fat comes up as 24.7% which is right for a female of my age (healthy range 23%-34%). For a male aged 40-59 the healthy range is 11%-22%. I got these figures from the photocopiable progress chart that came with the scales.

    FFM :)

Thanks FFM, mine is a 'innerscan' BC540 is yours the same? MrsSuggs thought she would offend me by buying one :rotfl:Well done on your loss too though :) as people say a 1lb a week is over 4stone a year :)

I will weigh myself in the morning, after a visit to the loo first of possible and before the visit to the gym :)

Thanks for pointing out I am still outside the heathly body fat range, but not by much ;) but if I just check............since last May its down from

As for turkey rashers? I prefer the bacon medalions, just the round bit of back bacon, 25 cals each and lovely :)

Bluecorn and BrokeMum welcome to this bunch of losers, I see Ajax has made himself and myself known. I did have a story hidden somewhere, but not sure where it is now. I should however find that list of hints we all built when someone joined and post on the new page 1 which will need doing in the next few days. Keep posting the questions and we all shall help in whatever way we can.

Well Done to Taffy and Ajax top results Beanielou 1/2lb gain is nothing to worry about and will soon be gone.

Grannynise, great to see you smash through the 2stone barrier :) Onwards and downwards???

Many Happy Returns of the Day to KPC

Efrieze, extra special well done to you, maybe a little something will disappear by the time you leave??? You have had a fantasic year and you deserve to smile and be proud.

Jen, maintiaining seems to be a taxing one for me too, Im struggling to maintian too!! Its seems to be a fine art of balance, however I still want to improve my fitness and then develop upper body strength, so I hope to gain weight then. But remember to allow the leeway, in my case +- 4lb, missy and victory are setting different ones

missyg, I hope your paying attention to what the chart said :) Hope you doing ok and not aiming to lose anymore.

Bails, worth it? yes as I am that type of person that likes numbers and looks for pluses in the scores. Worth it, I cant comment as it was a present and I dont know how much there were. I guess its a case of what features you want and then finding scales to match?? Im still learning with mine, but happy to help in whatever shape or form :)

    Two things....

Firstly, if anyone wanted to try Weight Watchers Online plan, in true MSE fashion I've unearthed a two-week free trial. As with all these things, cancel before the two weeks is up if you don't want to pay a penny. www.weightwatchers.co.uk/sainsburys

Secondly, along with bails, I too am very much interested in these fantastic scales. The bottom line is the price, but all of bails' questions are in my head too, so come on Suggs & FFM, get 'em answered :)
