Green Supplier Ltd switch to Shell Energy

From what I see the shell app is diabolical. Seems there's nowhere on mine to enter a meter reading or view your balance. The website is ok though0

Website works fine; i'm old-school, I don't use mobiles for using apps; why use a piddly sized screen compared to a 27" screen and decent keyboard; with far better anti-virus security?

Because apps don't need full screen. They are designed to display on small screens. Phone is always on not so my lap top. Apps work fine when they are designed properly. The green mobile app (silly magic login excepted) was just as good if not better then the website . Shells app appears to lack functionality1

Has anyone had their first bill yet?
I just had mine and it's -£400. There's no mention of the money that I was in credit with from Green before the switch over!1 -

Got my first bill yesterday, dated 13 Dec. They'd used one of the random estimates that appeared on my green account, only 20 units out from the read, for the deemed opening read, and a pretty accurate estimate for 9 Dec for closing read.
Green credit on bill, so I'm -£77 with a DD to go on the 25th Dec. If I'd have paid the 2 DDs extra to green I'd have been about the same amount in credit.
Green annual estimate - £660, shell is £1009, so yes just over 50% increase, and it'll probably get worse come April's price cap increase......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
They seem to have got my account up and running now and the app seems to be working rather than just redirecting to the website now.
I've got a bill showing for 13th November to 12th December for £188.53
My usage from 12th October to 14th December was:
Electricity 444 units
Gas 31 units
That's a massive cost jump definitely.0 -
I’m going to have contact them tomorrow. Our first monthly bill is £193 apparently, which is massive for us (a couple, with moderate us usage).
I’ve also continued to pay £50+ a month to Green, with the most recent payment December 8th, and now this bill from Shell is due later in the month. They appear to have carried over my £220 credit from Green. Definitely have to speak to them tomorrow though.0 -
Me too, I was paying £45 a month to Green so a £188 bill for 1 months usage is way more than I was paying before. My DD to Green went out on the 11th again this month. I have £231 in credit with Green which looks like it'll maybe cover a month and a half usage at this rate.
