Green Supplier Ltd switch to Shell Energy

Deleted_User said:@GreenCustomer Yay. Received cheque from Shell for my Green Supplier credit balance for electricity.
Just to clarify for others. I never actually moved to Shell, as I had already moved on to Neon Reef. As we know, that went well, and I am now in transit to British Gas, which is another story.
So even though I was never with Shell, it was their responsibility to sort out the Green balance, and they have. Eventually.Edit. What Shell did require from me to facilitate the refund was a copy of the final bill and balance from Green.
I've just chased them again, they've had a copy of my final Green bill but just advised that they were waiting confirmation of the credit before they could do anything.
I have a feeling that shouting/chasing them (nicely) may just get the desired results in our scenario, instead of just waiting at the back of the queue to be processed.1 -
Latest Shell Update
https://www.shellenergy.co.uk/blog/post/welcome-green-customersLast updated 09:00 Thursday 9 December
- In progress: getting up-to-date meter reads, activating smart meters, adding your credit balance to your account, setting up your Direct Debit
- Coming soon: your first bill
- Done: advising you of your tariff rates, welcome to Shell Energy, Ofgem SoLR appointment
Good news – we’ve now received your credit balance from Green. We’re in the process of moving this across to your account, but with so many new customers on board, we’re having to do this in phases.
If you can’t yet see your credit balance in your online account, it will appear on your first bill, which you’ll receive in mid-December.
If you have a credit balance, you can put this towards your next bill. You’ll be paying for around 10 weeks’ worth of energy, so it’s likely this bill will be larger than usual.
What if I’m no longer with Green/Shell Energy – will I still get my credit balance?
If you were in the process of switching suppliers when Green went into administration, we will honour your credit balance. We’ll be sending out cheques as soon as we can, but this may take two to three weeks, so keep an eye on the post
What should I do now?
Here’s what you can do to help the process run smoothly:
Send us a meter read
You should now have received a request for a meter read. This will make sure you’re paying for your actual energy usage, rather than an estimate. Send us a meter read using this link.
Set aside a month’s Direct Debit amount
We’re aiming to send you your first bill in the next couple of weeks. We appreciate that winter isn’t a great time to receive a larger bill, but you’ll be paying for around 10 weeks’ worth of energy. If you haven’t already done so, we recommend setting aside two months’ Direct Debit payments so that you can comfortably cover your energy usage.
Set up a new Direct Debit
If you haven’t already received your account login details, you should have them by next week at the latest. If we’re unable to set up your account by the end of this week, we’ll be in touch to let you know what the challenges are.
As soon as you have your account details, you can set up a Direct Debit with us.
If you can’t yet do that, you can always stay on top of your outgoings by making an interim payment.

Well, my theory proved wrong as all they've done is send me a standard reply with a link to that update just posted.
2-3 weeks wait for a cheque it is then!0 -
My credit balance from green is showing on my Shell account this morning, so looks like I'm fully migrated now. First bill due next week too.0

Contacted shell via Twitter, mentioned final green bill, cheque now on the way apparently.I moved to neon reef which also went bankrupt and am now with British Gas, according to shell emails British Gas should refund the credit owed by green.Hope this email finds you well.
Please note that we have never been supplied by Shell Energy.
Kindly note that you are with British Gas and you should contact them regarding the refund since the credit should be transferred to them.1 -

My account was all set up a few days ago with correct opening credit, current meter readings and my direct debit set up and now it just says Your Shell Energy account is nearly ready?! Has anybody else had this?

I was told my smart meter had been recognised and latest meter readings were showing at that time, now they've disappeared and my account is 'nearly ready' s'pose we're getting there - but slowly, very slowly....0
