Green Supplier Ltd switch to Shell Energy

Received my final bill with credit.  All correct, and best of all I never transferred to Shell as my supply was already live with other suppliers.

Been told now that I need to wait for Shell to create my account and then they'll be able to process the refund

Received green. final bill. All correct. 
As above, next stage is to wait for Shell to set up my account for the 5 days I was with them and issue a refund.

Still waiting for mine, hopefully in the next few days and then wait for Shell to return the left over credit.

Shell opened my a/c today and I had to set up bank dd but they are saying Green haven't sent my final balance details over yet.
Dd amount was set to what they say is the average amount, which is less than I thought, but of course the credit will help when it finally gets rolled over from Green.
I wonder if my smart meters will work eventually? They were put in by EDF about 4 years ago, and they worked for Green. So fingers crossed.

We’ve been working with Green to get your details, so that we can set up your account and move over any credit you may have to Shell Energy. We expect to receive the information we need by the end of November. But as we’re welcoming more than half a million new customers, we’re activating accounts in phases.

It’s taken slightly longer than we hoped, but we’re looking forward to fully welcoming you on board as a Shell Energy customer. The good news is, your account should be fully activated by mid-December.

We’re aware that you may now have received a final bill from Green. If you have any queries about this, please get in touch with Green using the contact details on your bill.

We’ll have your credit balance soon

If you had a credit balance with Green, we’ll move this over to your account as soon as we receive it. Rest assured, your credit balance is safe and protected by regulation.

What do I need to do?

Here’s what you can do to help the process run smoothly:

Send us a meter read

We’ll be in touch to let you know exactly when, but this should be on or around Sunday 5 December

Set aside a month’s Direct Debit amount

We’re aiming to send you your first bill in mid-December. As it’s been a while since you’ve had a bill, you may be paying for around 10 weeks’ worth of energy. We strongly recommend setting aside this month’s Direct Debit amount to make sure you can cover your first payment.

Set up a new Direct Debit

When you receive your account login details, you can set up a Direct Debit with us. If you can’t yet do that, you can always stay on top of your outgoings by making an interim payment.

For those that have received final bills from Green over the last few days with a debt on the account to pay.

Is the consensus to pay this amount via the portal Green email link without having a open and active Shell account?

I'm concerned if Shell don't have the same opening reading as the closing from Green then potentially I have an issue and overpaid?

I could wait paying this amount till the Shell account is active but that could be weeks more....possibly next year! But how long will Green wait for their owed money before starting to chase?

Just had the final green bill in here..... All was correct luckily.... Still waiting on hearing from Shell though..
