Green Supplier Ltd switch to Shell Energy

They have changed my latest bill to be "final". It covers up to Sep 4. Does that mean I don't pay anything for the energy I used between then and leaving Green on 20th? Or is Shell going to charge me on their tariff for that period? Shell only took over on the 27th so I would fight that. Customers who have active accounts with Shell should check what they are being charged in the days before the 27th.Of course there's been no communication. I only downloaded that bill again because of it being mentioned here.0

I received my normal bill for the period 16.08.21 to 16.09.21, but looking at this bill on my account now it's been changed & states "this is your final statement from Green", but billing details remain exactly as billed previously.
Did you have this too? I don't understand why they've done this when a final bill to the correct date/read is still required.

So, they're altering previous bills to say 'final' & then actually closing accounts to 26.09.21 (i'm guessing 2 days standing charge to our actual switch date of 28th will be ignored in these circumstances) & finalising charges to this date & the correct final read, mine now shows the correct credit balance.
Looks like we got there in the end, it's just on Shell now to acknowledge us & arrange the refunds...0 -
Just checked my Green final bill & its appears to be correct so the administrators seem to be fairly competent in that regard
No issue with "cancelled" bills for me
Just have to chase the credit refund with Shell now as others have mentioned1 -
Well, I still haven’t got a final account, and still no activity on the web or app. Nothing at Green, nothing at Shell. Some people might have ‘got there in the end’, but others patently haven’t. Absolutely infuriating.0

Do these companies think that all their customers exist in isolation, and don’t compare notes with other people in the same boat, on such as Internet forums? ‘Don’t worry, customer A will never know that we’ve done that for customer B. How could they?’0

I just got an email from Green telling me to view my final bill, and advising my credit balance. Trouble is I can't access Green's website to check the meter readings they've used. It just won't let me log on. *grumble grumble*
I suppose I'll have to wait 'til I get the first bill from Shell to see what readings have been used. I photographed the readings so I can prove what they were.
I'm just glad that they recognised that I had paid a considerable amount upfront, towards winter usage.....0 -
No final bill yet.
I left the DD for Green in situ. Two DD payments were taken before I received an email from Shell to say they couldn't transfer the DD, so please could I set up a new one.
New DD setup with Shell. Green DD cancelled with my bank.
Fingers cross thosed two DD payments turn up.
On a slightly different note, I was already a Shell Energy customer. I use different email aliases with each company I use, so I have two Shell Energy accounts, one for broadband and now one for energy.
I discovered a session leak in Shell's website. If I logged in with the Broadband account, logged out and then logged in with the Energy account, I could see the Broadband account details. They have partially fixed it now so I can only see briefest details of the Broadband account when I try and reproduce the problem. It's not very good really.

Some of shells explanations baffle me. I had a csr tell me today that I won't be able to see the reads from my smart meter directly on the online account . I will only see the reads on the bills when they are produced. The facility is to show reads on traditional meters not smart meters . So why all these graphs then ??0
