  • i'm a little confused now that i've actually managed to log into my Green account. 

    My last bill with them was 16.08.21 to 16.09.21, then we switched away to Neon Reef (yes, I know!), final reading entered to both suppliers on switch date 28.09.21. 

    My last bill to 16.09.21 with Green now states "your final energy statement", but the info remains the same as previously billed?

    Will Shell now be doing the true final bill to 28.09.21 when readings info is received & verified? I haven't been contacted by Shell at all up to now.

    Thanks.  I'm probably jumping the gun a little with them as I'm a customer that's switched away, but they do appear to be making reasonable progress with live customers, so I have emailed them to see if i can clear up what's happening. 

    I've explained no final bill from Green as yet, provided switch info with final reading & approx. credit balance due.
    They've already replied, asking for a copy of my final bill from Green & asked for a reading...oh well!  :s

    Got my account activation email. My opening read listed on Shell was about 400 units too low... not sure where they got that from. I sent them a screenshot of my green account showing all the reads and they've raised it to the relevant team.

    Given I was on a little over 10p with Green, that'll cost me £40 if they stick to the read labelled "Industry"

    I think you've hit the nail on the head there. Shell are concentrating on live customers, or stayers, rather than absent customers, or leavers.

    I have informed Shell that I am further on in the SoLR process elsewhere with British Gas, after 2 days, than I am with Shell after 8 weeks. Which of those two is more likely to get my business, such as it is?

    I'm a touch confused (not unusual to be fair).

    Just got an email from green with my final energy statement.

    In the email it says I owe £31.06.

    When I log into my account and look at my final bill the sum of £31.06 doesnt feature anywhere.

    In fact my statement says I'm in credit of £190.72.

    My situation is slightly complicated by the fact I left Green in March (hence the dates of the last couple of direct debits).

    Anyone able to see what I'm missing?




    Was it really "everybody" that was Kung Fu fighting ???

    Yeah. Same as you.

    Email arrived today demanding payment.

    We cancelled the DD as soon as the news hit that Green went under so a very small amount debit is left on account (I gave a reading to Green the day Shell took over so billed to the last day is correct - which makes a change!).

    Is this safe to go ahead and pay the owed balance via the Green portal link or should I wait?

    The Green email does state "In the event that your outstanding bill is not paid, the Joint Administrators' team or an appointed collection agent will be in touch in due course about the settlement of outstanding amounts".
