Anyone else noticed an incorrect opening meter reading? can this reading be disputed with Shell Energy?Yes, I have access to my Shell Energy account and my opening Electric reading is correct, but my opening Gas reading is incorrect, far too high and bears no relation to my reading on the 27th October submitted to Green.I've submitted evidence via their online help form, asking them to correct it before they start billing me.1 -

This is the same for me. I hope they dont issue my first bill using these numbers! I'm surprised we havent at least had an email from Shell asking for opening meter readings so they can be agreed. I'm reluctant to give them my bank details for a direct debit until the readings are correct.

As I've stated elsewhere I received my account details from shell a few weeks ago after requesting them via Facebook messenger. I have smart meters however my gas opening reading was way too high and based on my old removed imperial non smart meter. I contacted shell, gave evidence (pictures, correspondence from Green) and within a week they had sorted the problem out. Still can't see my meter readings though as account not fully functional yet0

It is increasingly apparent that there is a difference in the treatment by Shell of different customer groups, despite their protestations. Some customers are virtually up and running with Shell, while others have been told they are not even on file. Even for the fortunate ones, it seems that Shell are having to use estimates for opening readings, in the absence of information from Green/their Administrator.
FWIW I have relayed this feedback to Ofgem.

I've had a random estimated read appear on my Green (leccy-only) account page... dated 16 October!! Funny, as they stopped being my supplier in late Sep...mind you, if shell use that as opening read, it'll be a bit cheaper for those extra units......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple1 -
Yes I just noticed a green estimate on my electricity dated 13th october . It was for 15246 units. Adding together my reads from old meter when it was removed (14957) and new smart manual reading for 19th October (303) comes to 15260 so it's not far off
Lord only knows why they used an estimate from my old non smart meter when my new smart meter was displaying readings on greens site from 4th September until 1st October when it stopped displaying0 -
I contacted Shell Energy about the incorrect opening reading. They said it will be sorted when they have the reading details from Green Energy administration. So I expect a long wait to get this sorted together with the Green Energy credit balance, which is going to take some working out..2

A long wait? Surely not. I may shortly be in the position of pursuing 3 credit balances at once. What a ridiculous state of affairs.1

It would seem that SoLR problems are certainly not restricted to Green/Shell. All of the SoLR migrations seem to be experiencing problems. Not necessarily the same problems, but problems all the same. What a complete dog’s dinner of a system. It is obviously not fit for purpose, or has collapsed under the strain of the sheer volume of supplier failures in a short period. Where should the buck stop? Where is Mr Kwarteng?
