Green Supplier Ltd switch to Shell Energy

I think (having been through the Yorkshire Energy/Scottish Power debacle) and, given we can't move to a cheaper supplier because the price cap is the cheapest, I think the best thing is to sit tight, cancel your Green. Direct Debit and wait for things to happen in their own time. There's no point stressing about things you have no control over and getting worked up. Just chill and wait for things to happen when Shell and the administrators get things sorted out between them.

@fewkeste I'm always chilled . Im being very patient and totally understand the amount of work involved in this process. It can't be easy for companies like shell . Shell have been very helpful in my dealings so far with them (incorrect meter being used for gas billing because new meter hadn't been commissioned at time of greens demise). It will get sorted eventually meantime I'll keep monthly payments in my own account ready to pay any deficit to Shell though as im 300 in credit with green a deficit is unlikely0

@Thrugelmir Who said anything about cutting people off, or resources magically appearing? Not me, I think you’ll find.
One might say that Shell should not have taken Ofgem’s shilling if they could not cope. Therefore the only way to cope is to allocate more resources in terms of cash, labour, training, hardware and infrastructure etc. Plenty of vacancies, eh? No-one is saying that will happen tomorrow, so the sooner they start the better. Perhaps you could manage the project for them.0 -
Best scenario is to eat the popcorn and just sit on your hands whilst Shell sorts out things, when we get an email with account details we can update our meter readings and then wait to see when deals, if any, come and then decide to stay with Shell or not. Gone are the cheap deals of yesteryear, soon everyone will be in the same boat as we are of paying considerably more than we were, nothing we can do about it.As the old saying goes, which I often take on board: "Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference."

Yes, people making pointless enquiries are just delaying things for everybody.

Some people don't appreciate how difficult a task it is . A normal switch usually takes around 6 weeks so why expect solr to be quicker. I only contacted shell because my old removed meter was being billed by green . It got sorted swiftly by shell and in the process my account was activated . However as expected the account isn't fully functional yet . I can see my meters that's about it.0

I'm still not sure what meter reading to give Shell as a start point. My electricity meter is SMETS2 but hasn't worked with my last 3 suppliers so they need manual readings. My actual reading on 27 Sep was about 240kwH less than on the estimated bill Green raised on 13 Sep. If I open with my real reading with Shell will I ever get back that overpayment from Green? I seriously doubt it, although no doubt I should. Would be so much easier if Shell just started from the estimated reading that Green already charged me for.0

while I realise the whole situation today is very difficult and all seems almost surreal and I am waiting patiently until my account is sorted, I am also very worried about the amount I will have to pay when it is. I just thought Shell would know what they would charge for their tariffs and publish those prices.
I am on E7 as our flat has storage heaters (we have no choice) and I have had to turn them on now.I am very worried about the cost as I cannot find the unit price anywhere for the flexible 6 E7 version they have told me I will be on.0 -
Yes I got an e mail a few days ago telling me the tariff prices of the flexible 6 but it went on to say if I was on economy 7with green I would be on the E 7 tariff with Shell, it didn’t tell me what price it was though.0
