Green Supplier Ltd switch to Shell Energy

I'm another not to have heard a thing from shell (apart from me confirming with them on fb I am due to be transferred to them).0

So, I just logged on to my new Shell account, expecting to see the standard "welcome" message that's been displayed. Only this time, they're saying that they can't get my direct debit details from Green and I should go ahead and cancel. There's also a prompt to supply my details to set up a new DD with them and supply initial meter readings !I would have automatically cancelled my direct debit straight away, if only for the fact that they (Shell) told me to keep it active0

i'm pretty annoyed they suggested keeping the green dd active as they have taken 2 lots of £59 since going bust and i would have preferred to have saved the money and paid it into my new shell account - i notice they say £104.84 is my estimated monthly usage but suggest £122.00 as a monthly dd, almost certainly because the dd monies have been going to green rather than shell https://www.shellenergy.co.uk/account/summary

also there's something odd going on with my readings from Green, I can see a reading (Gas) for Oct- that's within a few pts of the value I supplied (for Sept ????). Then there's an earlier read the month before (Sept) much higher. I don't know where they got this from.So I can't enter gas as it's now a smaller read than September's transferred value from Green. Even though October's estimated read is lower.Electricity transferred values are slightly out too. Gentleman that I spoke to, told me to put everything in an email and supply another set of meter readings next week (??)Not entirely confident in this transfer process at the moment.0

At least you’ve got a Shell account. Despite protestations to the contrary, Shell are patently prioritising customers who have stayed with them, albeit possibly temporarily, over those who have now moved on, but are still due a credit from Green.0

Haven't even looked at the process for getting my credit with Green sorted yet, that's going to be fun by the looks of things. Apparently according to Shell's website I am supposed to take another reading seven days from now, forward that and today's readings along with my closing readings from Green and they'll sort things out within 6 wks.

Anyone having difficulty submitting a meter reading to Shell Energy using your online account? The new readings state that they have successfully been submitted, although the new readings are not showing on the meter readings page.0

Meter readings don't appear straight away with most suppliers, IME.

I'm still enjoying the silent treatment from Shell Energy and watching my direct debit payments biuild up my balance with now defunct Green. Good that the app and website are still working and updating with DD payments. My brother was with Peoples and sister was with Avro so between us we're 'competing' to see which one gets set up quickest with their new provider, my sister is winning so far I think with Avro to Octopus.Meanwhile after Green's campaign against Kwasi Kwarteng failed after he abandoned any help for the smaller suppliers, he seems to be well onboard with Shell now moving to the UK - https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10203469/Minister-hails-vote-confidence-Brexit-Britain-Shell-moves-HQ-London.htmlMaybe some of the Green energy staff made redundant could get jobs with them(yes I know Shell Energy are based in the UK, Warwickshire I believe but the move will bolster the company presence here overall)

As for staff, so far I have spoken to staff in 3 or 4 different countries, none of them in the UK.{Signature removed by Forum Team - if you are not sure why we have removed your signature please contact the Forum Team}.1
