Why don`t you post a fixed tariff that`s cheaper than Octopus capped SVR tariff @ £1277.
There isn`t any.
23-28 p for electricity
6-8 for gas
what a farce - one of the most expensive tarrifs ive seenYou've not looked at the right tariffs, that's why. Stop looking at the comparison sites and look at what Octopus is actually offering you as a former Avro customer.Flexible Octopus October 2021 v1 in my region is:And it won't change until the price cap does, most likely April 2022.- Elec 24.11 p/day plus 20.11 p/kWh
- Gas 23.85 p/day plus 3.95 p/kWh
i went directly to OCT website to see what they offering. Everything was very expensive for my area. I tried logging in and they have no account details for me as of yet. i imagine that will update in the next 7-14 days0 -

That tariff is about £50 below price cap, Octopus have said Avro customers will have Flexible tariff £10 below price cap which indcates will be slightly more expensive

I cant find what im looking for. This is a confusing site
can you walk me through how to see the resultsQuote page I put email address I used for signups, I selected dual fuel B.G Gas 12960 kWh
Electricity 4392 hence why Neon Reef did not appear in results, also most results cannot be switched via TCB thus no cashback, however results appear superior to most other comparison sites

Have a look at "Flexible Octopus October 2021 v1". You can look this tariff up on the Octopus website here All our tariffs | Octopus Energy Input your postcode and it will bring up all tariffs. Use the filters to select "Flexible" and "Domestic". You should then find the Flexible October tariff in the first few results. That will tell you more or less what you'll be paying.
And as others keep saying, you'll be very unlikely to find anything better at the moment, other than going with a small supplier with unsustainable prices.0 -
I've just given my elec/gas on the Avro site, via the email link from Octupus. However, on the Avro site it is not showing the updated figures. Anyone, else have this issue?0

Flexible Octopus? Does that mean its a variable tariff and not fixed.
Surely no-one in their right mind would consider a variable tarrif at the moment0 -

Thanks for the detailed images! Will check it out in the morning1 -
I signed up to Avro in March 2021 on a 12 month fixed deal. Will Octopus honour that deal?0

I just crunched the numbers on my elderly fathers Avro Energy account. I'm in total shock...
He has a credit balance of over £1100...
He switched away to Eon-Next a month or so ago, prior to Avro's collapse, so I'm very pleased to read that Octopus Energy will be repaying any credit balances. This is the biggest credit I've ever heard of - I don't understand why they never reviewed his direct debit, as he did submit meter readings every few months, but never bothered to check his account amount.
I'll give it a month or so for the dust to settle before suggesting he contact them.0 -

Only change to this is if the Government intervene and allow Ofgem to do some sort of review and raise the cap. Their current mantra though is that they will help consumers and not energy companies, so it would involve somewhat of a U-turn from Westminster for that to happen.
A variable tariff at the Ofgem cap is the cheapest tariff around at the moment, the energy companies are basically being forced to sell energy at less than they could buy it on the wholesale market.1
