Energy prices going one way and that is up - why anyone would even bother going for a Variable rate is beyond me
You keep saying Octopus is expensive.
Why don`t you post a fixed tariff that`s cheaper than Octopus capped SVR tariff @ £1277.
    There isn`t any.

Im basing this on my search from Citizens Advice website

OCT were very expensive there - everything else was cheaper. For example NEON REEF were very cheap for electricity 16.4p electricity neptune v3 tarrif

That electricity rate is a joke!
Unfortunately it's going to get worse. It's cheaper than the quote I looked at on ask for a quote.

I found NEON REEF the cheapest for electricity. Check them out - they were cheaper then AVRO for me
Thanks for the update, but the way things are going it's saying it's another smaller supplier. Will they also go the way of Avro. It's going to be a situation where there will be 9-10 suppliers. Smaller ones aren't going to be able to have the cash backup to weather the wholesale increases?

Thart's the same Neon Reef that is run by the Utility Point people (the same Utility Point that has just gone bust)? The Neon Reef that, as of 30th June 2020, had no employees?

Why are they on the Citizens website then still showing up as active prices?

Neon Reef hasn't gone bust yet but no-one in the Neon Reef discussion seems to expect them to last until Christmas. They're selling electricity for less than it costs. They'll survive until prices fall or their financiers run out of patience.

I did think the prcie is too good to be true but its worth switching to save some money and then switching again when they go bust in a few months no?

I have no up to date statement on the Avro site. The last one was the June-July, and they've had two meter readings since then- the last ten days before they went bust.

For the past three days all I get when I log in is a message- 'We're unable to retrieve your data at this time. We've added your request to the queue, check back in 15 minutes.' And 15 minutes later it again gives the same message.

Had the email saying Avro customers moving to Octopus, so that's okay for now.

Neon Reef hasn't gone bust yet, but I'd suggest being wary of any small supplier at the moment. Do some due diligence if you really want to switch to one.
