I have no up to date statement on the Avro site. The last one was the June-July, and they've had two meter readings since then- the last ten days before they went bust.

For the past three days all I get when I log in is a message- 'We're unable to retrieve your data at this time. We've added your request to the queue, check back in 15 minutes.' And 15 minutes later it again gives the same message.

Had the email saying Avro customers moving to Octopus, so that's okay for now.
This link should get you into your Avro account.

Energy prices going one way and that is up - why anyone would even bother going for a Variable rate is beyond me
You keep saying Octopus is expensive.
Why don`t you post a fixed tariff that`s cheaper than Octopus capped SVR tariff @ £1277.
    There isn`t any.

Im basing this on my search from Citizens Advice website

OCT were very expensive there - everything else was cheaper. For example NEON REEF were very cheap for electricity 16.4p electricity neptune v3 tarrif

That's where you are going wrong. Citizens advice is absolutely useless as pretty much every tariff it shows is long since unavailable.

The same tariff is also shown at MSE CEC, although I find that one worse than Citizen's advice. In any case, I'm pretty sure it is available as it is shown on the supplier's website.

On checking my last bill with Avro and using the Oct flexible tariff I would be paying an extra £25 on electric and £8 gas. That includes the standing charge and VAT. I think that the government could set 0% for energy given we are no longer bound by EU rules?

I went on to octy site to look at registering as someone suggested in earlier post.  I could not see an option to register BUT I was able to log onto my old account with them (550 days ago, last reading to them!).

Wonder if they will just reinstate my old account?

You've not looked at the right tariffs, that's why. Stop looking at the comparison sites and look at what Octopus is actually offering you as a former Avro customer.
Flexible Octopus October 2021 v1 in my region is:
    • Elec 24.11 p/day plus 20.11 p/kWh
    • Gas 23.85 p/day plus 3.95 p/kWh
And it won't change until the price cap does, most likely April 2022.
Or you can take that Neon Reef offer and risk doing all this again in a month or two, but with a different SoLR.
