Readings go through a process of validation before they are confirmed. Suppliers often show unvalidated readings. Octopus seems content they will be able to get hold of the readings being submitted to Avro, so hopefully that will be the case, but if not you'll have your own record and evidence to back it up.
Forgot about the validation process. Thanks for the reminder.

Octopus pay £100 for each new customer referrel.
They have just taken on few hundred thousand and not paid any referrel fees and will likely get some support for taking on Avro customers, not a bad bit of business for them.

It's normally £50 for dual fuel and £25 for single, very occasionally special occasions like anniversaries £100 is paid.

They've said they offer ex avro customers a special rate, not offered to anyone else including new octopus customers from elsewhere.

For Octopus it's £50 each to referrer and referred including single fuel and has been like that for a long time. That's a total of £100. Perhaps you are thinking of Bulb (they did double for anniversaries)?

You'll get a tariff that's in line with the current Ofgem price cap.  (Or just below it if what Octopus say it correct).

At the moment, you won't find anything cheaper.

You`ll be struggling to find anything cheaper than what Octopus will offer.
Doing a comparison today using Octopus SVR capped tariff (£1277) for 1st Oct. there was nothing cheaper.
The fixed deals were in the £1750 plus area.

Have you checked Citizens website? OCT are expensive

I am look at fixed prices btw only
  • Does anyone have details of exactly what the tariff details are (price per kwH etc)?  I just see that they're calling it the 'Flexible Octopus' tariff at the moment.
