    Nice one, Octopus!
They were about £50 cheaper for me than the big six when they withdrew the tariff from Cheap Energy Club last week. Hopefully this rate will remain the same.

I am glad it is Octopus and not the other big wigs. At least their tariff looks reasonable.
  • For Avro customers being transferred to Octopus, I would recommend a read of Greg Jackson’s (CEO Octopus) Twitter feed.

Just signed into my Avro account using : https://assets.avroenergy.co.uk/Account/Login2    it seems to be letting you enter meter readings

Yes it did, just entered todays reads. Thanks for the heads up.
I would retain photographic evidence too. From past experience meter reads submitted to the failed supplier tend to disappear into the ether and the reads supplied to Octopus in due course will be the ones that are used.

I took photos of my meters. Managed to submit readings to Avro - got screenshots to confirm that the readings were submitted. The gas reading has appeared on the website but the electricity reading is yet to appear.

I have just had my email, have submitted meter readings and also screen printed them as well as taking a photo of both readings.   So glad they never chose British Gas to take over our accounts.  Thanks IAMIAM will take a look tomorrow

That's impressive! Normally the most frustrating part of the process (perhaps aside from waiting for credit) is waiting weeks to get online access.

Just checked on the old website and today's electricity meter reading is there. Must be an issue with the new site not loading the meter reading for some reason.

Readings go through a process of validation before they are confirmed. Suppliers often show unvalidated readings. Octopus seems content they will be able to get hold of the readings being submitted to Avro, so hopefully that will be the case, but if not you'll have your own record and evidence to back it up.
